“A pretty bogus one,” Daisuke replied, his smile yet to leave his face, “You sound just like my mom.” He pointed out with a small smirk. He was sure Ken would love hearing that.

The redhead nodded as he reached the sink and turned on the tap for the hot water, waiting for it to heat up before going near the dishes, “Cool, cool.” He grinned. He turned to face his friend, leaving the tap running behind him, “If we get everything done before everywhere closes, we should go get ice-cream or something.” He suggested, figuring he’d owe Ken something for all the work they were about to embark on, “My treat.” He added, to clarify that fact.

"Someone has to make sure you're doing as you're told," He replied firmly, brows knitting together briefly to form a small, non-threatening frown. His eyes flickered towards the sink and then back to his friend, the offer of ice cream as a reward for helping out sounded like a fair deal -- as long as they got everything done before things started a close.

"If you're paying then I'm not about to decline, I'm not foolish enough to turn down free food," Ken's frowned softened, the corners of his mouth tugging into the beginnings of a smile. Sometimes it was impossible not to smile around the other boy. "I haven't had anything sweet in a while, either."
