Bad Campsite @ Batu Caves Area

,It was quite disappointing when you see a so-called “training group/campsite” but it wasn’t run and manage well by a group of almost zero-PR-management people. 

We are out of options to choose the campsite, as the camp committee has decided to break the tradition of staying indoor, concerning about the tight budget that we have, and all the expenses have to come from the registrations fee, we have to very careful in choosing a proper campsite.

I am leading the committee and made a final decision after final recce with the site, from the outlook, it looks good enough for a simple camp like us, but actually, it wasn’t. The problem starts since the day we signed the agreement, it seems like a con.

Ignore the part where the payment process was delayed - we insist that the camp committee has to be extra careful, never breaking the rule when it comes to any monetary processes. 

We already expect that it will be no clean hall for us, as the hall is merely a cemented area with a roof, built with an acceptable PA system. NO COMPLAINT about that.

But the biggest problem which is the accommodation and the hygienic problem, speaking about outdoor camping, definitely we requested the tent. We had requested a total of 40 to occupy 150 of us, although they provided chalet where it solve the problem of 16 facilitators. BUT the 40 tents, 40% of it is not in complete or good condition.

When we set up the tent/camp, we realized the materials are not sufficient, which causes the rainwater flows into the camp before we go to sleep, campers were having a hard time before the night, spending hour to clean the water, my crew was having a hard time on relocating campers under the rain. 

On top of this, the 3 chalets that provided to us, I don’t want to talk about the unclean bathrooms, water was polluted with dirt, (guess what, the explanation from the management was: “Oh it is like that because we use river water.” no water filtration). One of the chalets that I checked, it was smelly, and it smelt like a dead animal body, and guess what is their response, “We also don’t know” and then just like that. 

Speaking about toilet and bathroom for the campers, lights were not functioning, the flush was not functioning, and some doors with holes. And they are still okay with it - we are not the only customers, there are more which I presume they are not happy with it too.

Speaking about the food and beverages, our camp is solely vegetarian, I have ignored the biggest mistake that they included non-vegetarian food in one of the dishes, first lunch that we have is just veggies and eggs - insufficient of nutrition! THIS IS WHAT SUPPOSED A CAMPSITE DO?

The campsite has tons of different problem that I realized, rubbish in the lake, unclean pools, bad road conditions and many more. I’m so sad, that this kind of place exists and such kind of people is running a tourism-related-site.

CALLING MYSELF “MALAY”

Multiracial countries with multi cultural background, will give one same thing with several definition, sometime it is on purpose, hence most of the time is because lack of mutual understanding,

Tengku Razaleigh just proposed that in order to shape the unity among Malaysian, we should classify or define ourselves as Malays instead of introduce ourselves as Malays (Malay Muslims), Chinese and Indian, well, it is not been welcome by the mass, and causes a major discussion.

A scenario to show how Chinese are not willing to call themselves Malay; there was a Malaysian traveller, who travel to Hong Kong and got into a taxi. Taxi driver asked where does he come from, he said Malaysian, taxi driver said “Oh you are Malay!” the Malaysian traveller, who is a Chinese then respond, “No, I am Malaysian Chinese.”

So the difference is, you have to be very clear to define yourself when you travelled out from Malaysia, and you have to be very precise when you introduce yourself, as Malaysian Chinese/Indian/Malays, not Malaysian.

The definition of Tengku Razaleigh’s “Malays” refer to not specifically Malay Muslims, but Malaysian, it is purely abbreviation of Malaysia, but in Chinese, Malays is refer to “Ma Lai Ren” - A long time definition that refer to Malay Muslim, that is the biggest why the Chinese refuse to use the term.

Why? I would say the public impression towards Malay Muslim is bad, therefore many has refuse to agree with Ku Li proposal - to use the universal label of abbreviated “Malays” which intended to only define Malaysian.

I am not saying that ALL MUSLIM MALAYS has generated a negative impression, but there is a huge differences between the urban and rural community, the shape of Malays impression by political parties such as UMNO and PAS, causes the Chinese and Indian community has the self-defined “Malay”, far more different from the original definition of Ku Li’s “Malays”

If I can put blame on the causes, many thing can be put into the discussion, the ruling of UMNO for the past 61 years with the unfair policy that “secured” the Malay’s position in every aspects, resulted the non-bumiputera perceived everything is unfair. Malays who don’t understand the special position that granted under the constitution is to give them opportunity to grow faster, but they take it for granted, and only learn to take not to generate, causes the uprising of laziness.

Not being racist, but many politician has mentioned it, one of it is my home state government EXCO, who says all the special rights that given to bumiputera has causes them become lazy.

If the Malays community development is as advanced as UK, or looks like British, white guy, I think most of the Chinese or Indian would definitely willing to call themselves Malay.

MASSIVE CHANGES OF MY LIFE

2018, a year of massive changes, challenges, criticism, where at some point I am now able to face it, and almost got destroyed by some incidents.

I am a person, who don’t ask but gain the respect, through every talents that I showcased in each of the platforms, it is always not a worry for me when it comes to public speaking and certain field of knowledge sharing, yes I am emotional sometime, it did affect my leadership back then but at least i able to solve the problem, now, nope, at least I learned some new platforms to release my tension and bad aura.

“Ge” (Sir, in Chinese community) is a rank where either you earn because of your damn or fame; if you are so bad that people hates you, or because you did something super good that people loves you - i got the “ge” after my name, and I love it.

Latest Facebook able to recall your memories, I realised I posted a lot of negative visual and texts back then when I was facing some bad moments, this actually affected me to get promoted, my previous boss told me so, it really caught me into a moment where I really do a deep thought about it.

I started to give up Daily95 jobs, and solely doing freelance and projects based, I gained much more sleep and much more time, where give me more space to think. While getting more time, I thought I can do more thing that I want.

Well, I am still striving.

When “Skyscraper” reaches globalisation.

It turns out the relationship between Hollywood and China is getting much more intimate since don’t-know-when, but it turns out obvious starting from Transformer, when Jerry Wang, an Asian actor, and Joshua Joyce drinking on a Chinese branded milk. But the latter, Joshua Joyce was drinking the milk on the rooftop of Hong Kong building - China involving a lot in cultural imperialism?

“Skyscraper” in 2018 then set the story background entirely based at Hong Kong, a story about arsonist trying to burn down a 220-storeys tall building, built in architect technology was featuring bilingual, as well as all the police involved were purely Hong Kong police force - Comcast Universal production but not featuring F.B.I in the rescuing procedure? - well, F.B.I was featured in the beginning but the action wasn’t really that smooth.

I’m sorry that I have to give you a little spoiler, when Johnson’s wife, Sarah in the movie told the Police Chief to do a search online regarding the parachute brand, Sarah was not saying something like “Google it” instead of suggesting the police chief to “Search Online”, the homepage turns out to be Baidu, a Chinese-based search engine. We know Google was banned and still ban in China, they are not able to operate in the mainland, hence the Chinese created one to replace, same goes to Facebook vs Weibo, Youtube vs AiQiYi, and so on. Are we going sooner or later, says “You BAIDU it!”

Speaking about World System Theory, when we talk about core nations, never ever we forgotten the combination of USA, EU (Although it is a union) and China, before some years ago, we always credit the US as the leader of the world, but looking at the rapid development of China, I believe (my own point of view) that China sooner or later will replace #AmericanDream to #ChinaDream - just that they really have to work out on the bad impression of “whatever built or manufactured by China is bad quality”

There is a claim, “getting a contract in Hollywood is one of the goals or the only goal for an actor life” - explain clearly that Hollywood is the only peak that actors need to achieve, but it seems things have changed when Jessie J (definitely more westerner before this) also want to involve herself in a Chinese TV programme - no one want to let go of the Chinese market. But at the same time, there is already plenty of Chinese programs which already featured on Youtube - no one wants to let go of anyone.

So if the US has Hollywood, India has Bollywood, so China, Chingchongwood? Apology for my joke.

Responsibility VS Priority

Define by Human

I have this sudden thought, and I don’t know whether is right or wrong, that I believe everything - yes, everything is defined by HUMAN.

For instance, the necessity of having a “GOVERNMENT” to manage a country, it was defined by the human from the ideology of conquering and command, and the disagreement occurred where it then triggered the ideology of political match, where you belong to me and he belongs to them because we have a different thought, then “ELECTION”.

When it comes to sexual kinda thing, it is also human that defined HOMOSEXUALITY IS AGAINST NATURE, where the “NATURE” or “GOD SCRIPTURE” was defined and interpreted by a human. We can’t simply claim that an individual is a messenger or god by simply giving them a human recognition, which the recognition is done by a human, if this is still permitted, then the GOD or NATURE was determined, defined, interpreted by the human. 

Therefore all those debates by humans are just done because they want to show which side of the humans won able to grab the major voices - then the winner able to give a proper, or should said a definition that agreed by the majority.

So, everything was defined by HUMAN.

Real meaning behind the Hope Donation

Lets temporarily put aside the real definition of national debt or internal debt, or debt that owe by the state to the federal government, to the layman - not all choose to study economy - just understood that “debt will be just debt”, despite you owe your girlfriend or you owe to your old man.

The Finance Ministry initiative who announced by Dr. Mahathir was truly an action to assemble the Malaysian and to show to the former government that they are able to gather the power of Malaysian, to contribute back to their land of love.

We know that it is so impossible to rely on the citizen’s pocket to solve the trillion debt, if we want to settle in one year, we have to collect literally RM2,739,726,027.40, and this is each of us to donate approximately ten thousand in a day.

Well I know it is exaggerating to explain in this way, but we are smart to know that this political agenda behind this national movement is purely to show to the former government/political alliance, on how much support Pakatan Harapan can get in a short period of time - till now, the fund only opened for half a month.

For those who understand, and quote from quora.com, there are five countries which don’t have any external debt, one of it is our neighbour, Brunei, then Macau (not really a country), British Virgin Islands, Liechtenstein, and Palau.

The British Virgin Islands GDP per capita is USD44K, European country, Liechtenstein GDP per capita reaching USD100K, Palau USD16K, Brunei USD78K, and Macau USD73K. 

Compare with other developed countries, our national debt is far behind Japan, reaching USD10 trillion, and US 21 trillion - but they are developed and developing countries.

It is impossible to run out from debt - almost no countries able to do that except the quora’s FIVE. A country too, depending on their international trading, foreign commerce to earn and pay. So can we run out from the national debt? NOPE.

That is why I want to conclude that the Hope Funds which is claimed the collected funds will be direct to paying the national debt, is merely a political weight to uphold the clean image of Pakatan Harapan and to pressure the former governing coalition that they have more supports now.

Nevertheless, if you want to donate, please do so, if you don’t, then just leave it alone - you have your constitutional right to do whatever you are permitted to do, which is either to donate or not to donate.

A clearer definition of Federation of Malaysia

The votes on 9th May seems like it is an admission ticket to a very dramatic theatre, where we see divorces, betrayal, cheats, among the players on stage, but the intense part is, it happened within a short period of times.

The hope that brought up by the young political alliance that formed in less than two years time has successfully lightened up the heat to overthrown the old regime - a 60 years old political alliance collapse in one night, losing for the first time in sixty years.

Chinese use 60 to measure a great round of change, a new repeat which always signals a positive change.

Pakatan Harapan is a still-fragile-formation of four parties, the youngest PRIBUMI, then a breakup boyfriend AMANAH, an “i-DON'T-agree-with-you-so-i-get-out” PKR and a well established long time opposition DAP. 

They got a simple majority, together with the Sabah political alliance, and able to form the federal government with a simple majority. Yes, political alliance, because under the umbrella of Pakatan Harapan, there is no WARISAN and other Sabah political parties.

When Tun Mahathir was sworn in as Prime Minister the next night of 14th General Election, he quickly announced the first four ministerial positions - nicely chop-pork-delegation to all the alliance’s member’s head. The Deputy PM to PKR, Defense to AMANAH, Finance to DAP and Home to PRIBUMI.

The BARISAN members started to fear - I assumed that the opposite bench of the house will be empty, as many were accused that they involved in bribery, and look at the aggressiveness of Pakatan Harapan to send all bribed to the behind of the bar, the then regime’s member has visited either privately or openly to the governing parties - are they seeking for “pardon”? I don’t know.

What I am trying to indicate is, this theatre is moving to a “breakup scenes” - lots of break up scenes.

Sabah WARISAN sweeps half of the state constituency seats and then joined by 5 other parties member, and forms a state government. UPKO is the one who broke up with Barisan Nasional. Sabah political parties will be forming up a Sabah political alliance to work closely with the peninsular political alliance.

Before I proceed, MYPPP also quitted Barisan Nasional after the General Election, although there is news that says Kayveas was not the president during his announcement or what, the deal is - “MY PPP” is not the friend of Barisan Nasional.

A few days ago, the long-term deposited votes from the state of Sarawak, has voiced, and four Sarawak parties announced they quitting from Barisan Nasional, and forming up GPS, Sarawak Political Alliance - to be the real Global Positioning System (GPS) for Sarawakian.

Under the MA63, Malaysia Agreement 1963, the formation of Federation of Malaysia is consist of Peninsular, North Borneo, Sarawak and Singapore. Following with Singapore’s quit, Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak then officially become a federation till now.

Forming of GPS on both states of Sabah and Sarawak will have resulted in even independent political alliance in their own state which only have the friendship with the political alliance at peninsular, but not really ally - the relationship is not that strong if the bond is not polished and well-taken care by the peninsular’s alliance.

Although there are still peninsular political members in both the states over at Borneo island, who knows slowly they will request no involvement from the peninsular but let the state’s established political party govern themselves?

Which now in Federation of Malaysia, we have peninsular political parties, the political alliance that residing in both the states of Sabah and Sarawak - it is like the UK Conservative, Labor, DUP from Northern Ireland and SNP from Scotland - but they are governing and overseeing the nation together.

This has started and if it is getting more mature, am I expecting we cannot just call ourselves Malaysia, but Federation of Malaysia?
