the only gay main character being the one to never experience romance in the show, while everyone else got a relationship, is homophobic. building up his relationship to mike for five seasons only to end it with a slowburn rejection is homophobic. keeping mike/el and mike/will ambiguous throughout s5 just to string byler fans along all season was crazy. and never explaining mike's behavior towards will for three seasons? so mike really is just a shitty friend and boyfriend. mike didn't know will was gay, why was mike so strange to will in s4? mike's entire character doesn't make sense at all. they should've shut down byler years ago, the way other television shows have shut down gay relationship theories. ruined the entire show for me tonight
