âBut, what if every single stumble, every challenge, every experience in our life was only intended for one purpose: to bring us back to our origin? What if every win, every loss, every beauty, every fall, every cruelty, and every smile was only intended to unveil another barrier between us and God? Between us and where we began, and where we are desperately seeking to return?â

âWhen Allah blesses us with money, we depend on the money rather than Allah. We forget that the source of our provision is not and never was the money, but rather it was the giver of that money. Suddenly weâre willing to sell alcohol to avoid losing money in our business, or we need to take out loans with interest to feel secure. In so doing we are foolishlyâand ironicallyâdisobeying the Provider in order to protect the provision.â

âWhen you get married or married donât try to control your spouse. He/she wont always act the way you want. Give him/her space when needed. Donât be clingy because it may suffocate your spouse. He/she may need some personal time to improve themselve or to hang out with friend. Donât expect that he/she will be their for you 24 hour. Try to have less expectation and focus on how you can improve the relation rather than is he/she behaving the way I want? May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala grant you a spouse who will be the coolness of your eyes and those who are married may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless your marriage. Allahumma Ameenâ

If AllÄh has written something for you - whether that is money, a job, a spouse, or anything else - no one in heavens can take it from you. Wallahi, youâll just get it. Just rely upon Him.

Weâre all travelers in this world.
âOur destination is the same, but we take different routes.
âOur necessities are the same, but we utilize different means.
âOur suffering is the same, though our pain and anguish may differ in source.
âOur anxieties are the same, though our fears may differ in source.
âAnd our need for love and companionship is the same, even though our relationships may differ.
Sometimes though, we may go hungry, feel lost, get cold, heal slowly, or have to walk a part of the course alone. We may feel overwhelmed and discouraged, but as long as we remember that weâre travelers, weâre good.
Because travelers travel. They donât get too comfortable in one place or stay anywhere for too long. They know where theyâre headed and theyâre eager to get there safely and in tact. And they certainly donât get dragged behind or bogged down by a dead weight.
Toxic relationships = dead weight.
Cut out people who prevent you from moving forward. Theyâre not going anywhere because they canât see anything beyond their own misery. Theyâre stuck in ingratitude and darkness and donât want you to advance ahead of them.
Surround yourself with people who love you sincerely; appreciate you; donât take you for granted; never hurt your feelings with abusive words, threats, or empty promises; donât betray or backstab you; and donât use you or take advantage of you.
Surround yourself with people who remind you of Godâs favor upon you for bringing them into your life every time you think of them or see them.
When you meet those people they will not only travel by your side, but theyâll spend the entire time removing as many obstacles from your path as possible, and tending to you with no ulterior motive but to love you and make your journey easy because they know your value and never want you to leave their side.
May God surround us all with the best of company and help facilitate our every step towards Him. Amin.

Pray.
If you do nothing else, pray.
If you abandon the prayer, you abandon your soul.
âfrom the journal of Umm Zakiyyah
âLast I heard he was arrested for buying large amounts of cocaine. Â My mom let me know. Â She called me one day and said: âI donât want you to find out by Googling your name.â Â It wasnât a huge surprise, actually. Â It explained a lot of his behavior. Â He promised to pay for our school, then didnât. Â He never wanted to pay child support. Â He started calling less and less. Â I havenât heard from him in years. Â But I have a really, really great stepdad. Â I just call him Andrew. Â My first memory of him was when I was ten years old. Â I just thought he was a nice older guy at the New Yearâs Eve party. Â But my mom got hammered, and the whole ride home, she kept saying: âIsnât he so great? Â Isnât he so cute?â Â Two years later he moved in with us. Â He never tried to discipline me. Â Heâd leave that to my mom. Â He always had the attitude of: âIâm not your father.â Â But he was another adult in the house that I could rely on. Â And Iâd never had that before. Â Heâd cook meals for us. Â And heâd really work hard on them. Â And heâd drive me places. Â I think 95% of my needs at the time were cooking and driving. Â Even today, I could call him if I need a ride anywhere. Â If heâs not able to do it himself, heâll pay for a cab. Â Or heâll figure out another solution. Â Itâs the kind of attention that makes you feel like youâre deserving of someone elseâs time. Â Heâs far from perfect. Â He works too much. Â He snores. Â He doesnât do his laundry. Â But when I think of the qualities of a good man, or dad, or just person, Andrewâs got them.â
