“Words reverberate the air” and sometimes the walls, too.

The next morning we packed up and departed the hot springs, heading northeast through the ranch road toward Marfa. Our brief respite in the secluded, arid mountains was over. Our time meditating and relaxing in the lithium-drenched waters had come to pass. Soon we’d be knee deep in cat shit, stretched thin by hard work, and hypnotized by flashing images of a world turned sour. But for now, for these next 3 hours, we were gonna feel pretty damn good.
