very messy warmup doodle because ouuuugh devo not rlly anything but i had a bit of an emotional moment looking at my artfight, how Devotion is by far the favorite over there? and everyone whos drawn her has been so kind and so lovely :) and esp since this is such an old character whos main conceit since she was made has always been that she was a god in self-given title only. that her goal in every story she ends up in is trying to gain acclaim, form her own cult, prove that she is far from a mistake and most importantly: have someone, anyone at all know her. know that she was there and she mattered no matter what happens to her. because she doesnt want to be forgotten. i think, having all of that in mind, theres something kind of beautiful about the life she's taken on outside of any story and just as: herself. it feels special and kind :3
