I really dont like Charles and some of the other X-men in Marvel X men 1992-1996.
Just started season 4, and honestly? Why the fuck do they treat Logan like that?
Charles in S1 ep3 with Sabretooth.
Storm/Ororo in s3 ep4 when Logan says Charles is in danger.
Scott in almost every episode.
And more. Like-
I get that Logans gruff and does whatever he wants; but they don't have make him feel like shit, use him, or completely dismiss him.
For a group of people that are supposed to be family, to me it seems that Logan cares about them more then they do about him.
It could just be the fact that I'm more aware with cues for 'rude' people due to who raised me, but still. The fact thay they constantly undermine him, ignore him, hell- in one episode he ended up in the aritc with Sabretooth and no one cared!
I genuinely hate how he's treated in this show. Even in the movies I was a little iffy with it, but Logans a dick in the X-man movies so it goes both ways. Then again, Scott was a dick first and with Logan being 190+ years old, I feel like he gets a pass for being 'rude' and 'gruff'. It doesn't excuse when hes an actual dick for no reason, but his rough personality is due to what he's lived through and he doesn't deserve them using him, ignoring him, or anything else. He's nice when people get to know him and get past his walls. He's almost the definition for that 'hard on the outside, but once you get to know them, their sweeter then pie' thing. Except hes still a little rude, but he's literally just teasing.
And in the movies Jean just fucking plays him! She let's him make moves on her while she's with Scott and let's him kiss her. She should've shot him down sternly and immediately, or she could've had both but no! She's gonna play both of them and mess with their feelings!
I really dont like Charles or a few of the X-men in many of the shows/movies/comics cuz they do this to Logan in a lot of them. And it makes me want to scream
i'm so endlessly passionate about wolverine's entire character in ever piece of media he's in. he's shown time and time again how gentle of a man he can be, how compassion is such a big part of his character. i'm saddened that the fox movies and even '97 mischaracterize him so much and do him dirty so often compared to his appearances in the comics. i try to encourage everyone to read comics he's in, because it dives so deep into his character. the love he feels. the care he feels. he is genuinely so gentle when he knows the moment or a person is in need of gentleness. sure he's rough, he's a murderer, he's angry but.... that's what he was conditioned to be. his entire character revolves around being forcefully turned into a living weapon, so to expect perfection from this man is foolish to say the least.
he was accepted into the xmen, sure, but it still feels like these people regret having him around most times? and it is so super unfair... it hurts to watch how he gets treated not just by his fellow xmen but the fans who consume this media too. like he is such a complex character, reduced to some asshole who only cares about jean and nothing else. he is a hardened hero, a trauma victim, a human desperate to fight back the raging animal inside of him. he needs to be cut some slack. he needs to finally be happy, i swear to god.
is this the cleanest highlight ever? no. but this was such a good game i've been having so much fun recently and actively feel myself getting better at wolverine. he's also really fucking stupid, i've pissed so many people off today
