I adore Matt, but he needs to stay firm when he wants someone out of his life. I know its trauma and his abandonment issues that has him letting them back in, but I need him to get his shit together and keep it together; or he needs to ask for help.

Logan was a dick first and in the exchange in Loganās room it was cut into a shorter scene in the film cut. Logan was the one deliberately trying to rile Scott up (and this comes from someone who loves both characters). Loganās great but he is a dick and its who he is. In the Fox films dare I say Logan is nicer than in the comics (where I'm still a fan of him), but while your reasoning is valid in your approach, it is Logan who initiated the bs between them even if I do believe Logan grows to love Scott later.

I'm aware Logan's a dick, and I've said as much when it comes to the movies. Though, I've also said I believe its due to trauma. Which, doesn't excuse his behavior but it makes it understandable. Like when an abused dog bites its new owner when they try to reach for the dog. You cant be mad at the dog because its traumatized and trying to protect itself, but that doesnt making biting someone okay.
I feel as though the first interaction they had was more of a fight response then him purposely being a dick for the fun of it. Scott's a dick to him on purpose because he's jealous the second time they interact.
And your right! I also feel like Logan grows to love Scott. The two of them just need to grow up and apologize to eachother or to let it go.

Weird question, what do you mean Scott was a dick first in the X-Men movies? Doesn't he start off offering a handshake to Logan which he ignores (understandably)? Then when Logan turns around he doesn't move out the way so Logan grabs him by the shirt and 'asks' (kinda a threat with the grab) him to move and all Scott does is look at Xavier in response so the Xavier can continue with his pitch. And before this Storm and Cyclops rescued him. When did Scott initiate hostilities? I feel like with Cyclops it's pretty much always Wolverine initiating hostilities? Usually with violence or just hitting on his girlfriend.
Not a weird question at all! I'm glad you asked! Sorry it took so long for a response. I wanted to re-watch the movie to make sure I didn't get anything wrong! Havent seen it in a month and I've gotta know my facts 100% before I start spouting anything.
Starting off, Logan and Rogue are driving down the road and then they get attacked by Sabretooth. Logan gets knocked around and ends up passing out. Scott and Ororo show up to save them and take them back to the mansion.
He wakes up in the medbay and freaks out, cuz trauma and new place, 'why tf am I here'. He's on edge and panicking. He has zero obligation to be polite to people who have kidnapped him. And thats exactly what they did, they took him while he was unconscious and couldn't give concent. For the X men it was a rescue, for Logan it was a kidnapping.
As Charles is introducing Logan to everyone, Logan watches Jean walk into the room, and Scott notices. Now, Scotts jealous, as he should be cuz that's his girl. Thats the start of Scott's irritation for Logan.
Logan does grab Scott, though I personally feel like that's justified. They just kidnapped him, put him in a medbay, tried to inject him with something he doesn't know, spoke into his head and scared him, and then gave a story that to anyone else, would be complete bullshit.
I believe that if Storm and Jean weren't women, and Charles wasnt disabled, he would've done the same if they were standing in front of the door. Being as old as he is, it was frowned upon to be rude to women in many places back then and Logan likely has that value. Charles being disabled and Logan being 'nice' to him is probably just common decency to not pick on those who can't fight back. I also believe that if Rogue hadn't been in the mansion, Logan would've just tried to beat them up and run; but he had a kid to protect and info was needed.
Think of it like this, you've just been kidnapped, put in a medbay, and you wake up to someone trying to inject you with something. Then, you try and escape but you start hearing voices. You end up in a room with three people and are given this wack ass story and sounds fake as fuck, and you just want to leave but they're not going to let you, and that much is obvious. Because they're also mutants and are blocking every exit in the room. Would you not threaten the people holding you captive to get away and still be able to get the kid without causing a big fight that you can't win?
The next scene with Logan and Scott, and the one I feel like it all started because now their on even ground. Logan's no longer in fight mode because he was just kidnapped and currently, everything's chill.
In my opinion Scotts the one that is a dick first due to all of that. Although, it's cuz he's jealous.
Starting off Scott finds Jean and Logan doing Jeans mind thing. Jean sees him and flees leaving Logan and Scott alone.
Logan says 'you gonna tell me to stay away from your girl' and Scott says, 'if I had to do that she wouldn't be my girl'. Logan, teasingly says, 'then I guess you've got nothing to worry about, cyclops'. Does the wording make it sound teasing? No, but its his tone. You have to hear someone's tone inorder to fully understand what they mean and how its meant. The teasing is when Logan says 'Cyclops' because hes making fun of Scotts alias. Logans tone the rest of the time is neutral and amused. Logan has no issue with Scott at this point. He did earlier, because he'd literally just been kidnapped but now Logan thinks they're chill. Scotts immediately on the defensive and takes a jab at Logans pride, 'yeah, it must burn you up that a boy like me saved your life, huh?' And you can see on Logans face that it dug deep. Scott continues and says 'You ought to be more careful. I might not be there next time' and you can tell by Scotts tone and facial expressions that he wants to piss Logan off and hurt his feelings; and he's doing it because hes jealous not because Logan grabbed his jacket and shoved him. Which is proven by Scott saying 'oh, and logan, stay away from my girl' immediately after he'd said 'i might not be there next time'.
All in all, it just comes down to opinion.
If you don't feel like Logan was justified in being defensive and in fight mode after being kidnapped and waking up to someone injecting you with somethign random, then yeah, to you Logan would've been a dick first. If you do feel he was justified and you still think he was a dick first, I don't know what to tell you ā(ļæ£ćļæ£)ā
After that, they're just dicks to eachother throughout the movies which I did mention in the original post.
I'm not justifying, and I won't justify Logan being a dick to Scott after Logan decided to go along with the X men; but for me personally, Scott started it.
I wanted to be sad when Charles was dying and then he started talking to the X-men and saying something personal to each of them and I teared up until they got to Logans and Charles said
'Logan, loner, you've found a fmaily'
And I immediately said, out loud no thought before hand, 'the fuck he did'
I've made 2 other posts on how they treat Logan in this series and not once were they his family.
I'll admit that Jubilee, Morph, Rogue, Gambit, Jubilee, Storm, Kurt and Beast are almost always nice to him, but even half of them are still dicks to him.
It not family if they're constantly berating you, ignoring you, and undermining you. Family is unconditional love that has play fighting, compliments, listening to the other person, making mistakes and not losing your shit over it, and just generally being a good person to the one you consider family.
Logan's got 2 episodes where he goes off and in the first one, no one cares. In the second one, Jubilee goes after him but she's still told not to and no one else gave two fucks.
The big guy didn't find a family, he found a place that he could call home, with people he loves but don't always love him, and who honestly just use him.
Just stared X-men '97 and I'm hoping its better for Logan in it, but we'll see (-Ļ-)

I get that Logans gruff and does whatever he wants; but they don't have make him feel like shit, use him, or completely dismiss him.
For a group of people that are supposed to be family, to me it seems that Logan cares about them more then they do about him.
It could just be the fact that I'm more aware with cues for 'rude' people due to who raised me, but still. The fact thay they constantly undermine him, ignore him, hell- in one episode he ended up in the aritc with Sabretooth and no one cared!
I genuinely hate how he's treated in this show. Even in the movies I was a little iffy with it, but Logans a dick in the X-man movies so it goes both ways. Then again, Scott was a dick first and with Logan being 190+ years old, I feel like he gets a pass for being 'rude' and 'gruff'. It doesn't excuse when hes an actual dick for no reason, but his rough personality is due to what he's lived through and he doesn't deserve them using him, ignoring him, or anything else. He's nice when people get to know him and get past his walls. He's almost the definition for that 'hard on the outside, but once you get to know them, their sweeter then pie' thing. Except hes still a little rude, but he's literally just teasing.
And in the movies Jean just fucking plays him! She let's him make moves on her while she's with Scott and let's him kiss her. She should've shot him down sternly and immediately, or she could've had both but no! She's gonna play both of them and mess with their feelings!

I just started Marvel X-men 1992-1996 and Iām on s1 ep3 Enter Magneto. Wolverine obviously is hurt by the fact that Charles chooses Sabertooth over him. What if it causes/triggers a full-on trauma thing for him?Ā Ā
Charles says āIf you take sabertooth from this infirmary, donāt bother coming backā and Logan looks from Sabertooth to Charles before ultimately deciding that getting the threat away from the people he wants to protect is better than still being allowed to stay with them.Ā
Logan puts their safety above him being happy, and he does so often and not just in this show. He doesnāt want them to know what Sabretooth did because it traumatized him and we all know Wolverine doesnāt talk about his feelings, trauma, or past experiences; and instead of trusting him when he tells them Sabretooth isnāt safe, Charles outright chooses Sabertoothās health over Logan.Ā
This likely has Logan believing heās not worth much to the X-men seeing's as Charles is quick to choose Sabretooth over him. Itās also likely that Logan had believed Charles had trusted him, even though not a whole lot of the others did, and now he thinks Charles doesnāt trust him.Ā So not only is he likely now believing that his āfamilyā thinks heās expendable but also untrustworthy, itās also a possibility that he thinks they donāt care for him at all.Ā
Logan in the show so far seems to be a person who keeps everyone at a distance and holds everything in, like heās portrayed in most shows/movies/comics.Ā So, taking that into account, this man is staying with people who, in Loganās mind, donāt like him, donāt trust him, and think heās expendable. Heās gruff, rude and off-putting to everyone so far but heās still fond of all of them, heās still trying to help and protect them.

The final episode of The Defenders almost had me crying (T^T)

Everyone other then Karen believing Matts dead. Karen's fiath that Matt would keep his word and come back one day, that he wasn't dead.
The defenders watching a building collapse ontop of a person they didnt want to admit they liked until it was too late. The fact that they realized he'd never planned on comming back and blame themselves for not doing more.
Karen and Foggy looking at the door, waiting for Matt to walk in with his tired smile and cracking jokes, only for them to crumble when they realized their Matt wasnt comming through that door. Foggy's face when he realized his oldest friend wasnt comming back, how Foggy blames himself for what happened to Matt. How Karen grabbed Foggy when she realized Matt was gone.
They can't even hold a funeral. Matt was declared missing, not dead; and the only people who would show up are Karen, Foggy, Jessica, Luke, Danny, Claire, and Colleen. 7 people would be at Matts funeral if they could give him one because he doesnt have anyone else.
Matt letting himself 'die' in a way that would've been hell on his senses just to save New York/Hells Kitchen and to be with Elektra, who was toxic to him in their relationship.
Matt finding someone to cling too and refusing to let go no matter how badly they treat him. Matt not wanting people to get close because of how some people treat him, Sticks lessons, and his abandonment issues but letting them get close when they push it because he's very bad at telling people no.
(I ain't kissing the brick before I throw it, unless I throw it at Matt cuz that man needs comfort, peace, and love)
What if Matt told Jessica, Luke, and Danny his name was Matthew, instead of Matt like he usually does, because he didn't want to get attached to them. He tried so hard not to get attached, but he ended up getting attached to them anyway.
He was really hoping Foggy, Karen, and Claire would be the only people he had to worry about and he ended up gaining three more people.
Fucking Stick giving him trauma with 'dont get attached' and abandonment issues.
I got invited to do an art/video game stall in October and my current spare time is going to that because I will be selling crochet items and paintings and both take a lot of time to do.
Fics are still being written along side my art projects, I'm just slowing down and taking my time. Doing more research, digging into different writing styles, figuring out how to make my works better then they are, and more. Hopefully, I can up my style into what I'd like it to be, and I'm sure with patience, practice and time it'll get there.
Also, my laptop broke and I just got a new one which is also why you guys haven't had any sort of update.
Health issues are slightly better now on all parts. A lot of hospital visits are still happening but everything's clearing up, so work hours are lessinging leading to more free time.
