It was the night before Lou’s operation and she was just getting settled into her room at the hospital. She had been relieved to discover she would have a room to herself and not on the ward with other patients. It was nerve-racking enough without having other eyes on her, or worse – nosey people asking questions.

I could echo Bethany's words about your fic completely; Lou is the perfect character for this. I'm glad the fic is back, it's a really heavy and emotional one, but it's one of those that stay with you and you just want to keep going to see what happens next.

Thank you, the more I write Lou the more I feel the same, it works really well for her personality. As it wouldn’t write the same for someone that would fall apart. I’m glad you are still enjoying it, I’m sure both you and Bethany know where the story will be going ;) I’ve so much to write it’s finding the time to sit and do it... which I am about to sit and do since the cold weather has hit Scotland, I’m not keen to back outside today haha

#HLSeason11

The show took a turn with the story this year and some people are upset with it but I know there’s fans just like me who will continue to watch and support because we love it and respect the people behind the scenes. We know BW knows that we all want another season, but it wouldn’t hurt to remind @cbc. 

On January 15th, when 1010 airs, please use your twitter account to tweet about why the show should continue, how much you love the show, etc. while using the hashtag #HLSeason11, and the most important part is to tag @cbc. As always, try to use #iloveheartland too. 

I’ll start tweeting around 6pm and when Heartland begins to air I’ll continue tweeting with both #iloveheartland & #HLSeason11. 

My goal in this is to show the CBC how much the show is still loved and it’s still full of steam to continue into an 11th year. It’s not fair that the show is getting so much backlash for a storyline that’s happening because an actor wanted time off.

The latest chapter was so good! Well worth the wait!! Loved how you captured Lou's emotions, like putting on a Brave face for everyone. I could imagine everything happening as if it was an episode, or happening in an ep. I think the fact you've chose Lou as the character is great because she's one of those who will carry on despite everything, she's extremely determined! Really can't wait for the next chapter!

Thank you so much, I must admit I was a little worried since it was so long since I’ve written anything, so you’ve given me confidence. I’m so happy you can see why I chose Lou as the main character, as she fits the way in which I wanted to fit the story, how she is putting on a brave face and can do it alone, in her own mind anyway lol. I’m about to start the next chapter, so this feedback has given me a wee boost, thank you <3

The last two weeks since Lou's MRI had flown by. She had kept herself busy with all her work responsibilities and her mind focused on the girls. She had to admit that she had felt like herself again without any hospital appointments to bring her down, until now.

Once breakfast was over and everyone went off to start their respective days Lou found herself alone in the kitchen. She felt some sense of relief that she didn’t have to keep up the pretence of being in control of the situation. Pouring herself another coffee, she walked out to the porch, glad of the fresh country air on her face.
