This four-eyed guy can do it so well that you get the feeling he actually means this nonsense seriously!" Filled with rage, shame, and anger, Brainy Smurf just managed to escape when the woodcutter wanted to lock him in a cage. He reached the forest, where two Smurfs, who had been sent out by Papa Smurf, gathered him up at nightfall. After this adventure, Brainy Smurf refrained from his smart-aleck lectures for a long time. When a Smurf promised him one day that he would one day be touched by great admiration, Papa Smurf interrupted him and said: "Stop it, I don't want to make myself a laughingstock!"

I watched the Mimic Smurf episode and he can literally copy voices so well that they used the VAs of the smurfs he's copying when he does it! I think he would fit perfectly as Nobody/Hundredth!

I think that when Iguin called Sasaran "the very embodiment of forbidden magic" they said it ironically.

When we first met this new Brimmed Cap he is indeed really intimidating. A bodiless hat and cloak floating around with a single eye piercing right at you.

He truly seems to be unbound by the laws of magic. Ignoring ancient spells of Romonou cavern, teleporting at will, his body being unshackled by all the rules. He's the living proof of what magic is capable of if only those countless restrictions were lifted.

Until we realise that all of it is just one big trick. This "form freed from the shackles of flesh" is literally just a puppet on a string that he's using to stay hidden from other people.

And when we see the real reason for him to use the cloak puppet then all the fear and mystique of Sasaran disappears.

Sasaran was a Pointed Cap who disagreed with the restrictions that the Pact has put on magic. So he started experimenting with the transmutation magic of the flesh. We saw first hand how dangerous and volatile this kind of magic is. And most likely during these illegal experiments Sasaran accidentally fused his body with his pet cat, resulting in his current chimeric look.

Knowing his backstory and his current alignment paint a rather different picture than "the very embodiment of forbidden magic" that Iguin was speaking of.

Sasaran dabble with a dangerous, forbidden arts and was punished by his hubris. But instead of reconciling with the truth that it was his fault alone, he blames Pointed Caps for creating the rules that got him disfigured in the first place. Moreover he lashes out on innocent people, inflicting them with the same cruel magic which he was also a victim to. A pathetic, cruel, resentful man who blames everyone but himself for the self-inflicted curse.
