@thecuntmagician is dealing with eidolons so i thought id impart some sage wisdom ive learned in my dealings with them some you can disperse with salt others respect the rules of a temple or church while on sacred ground otherwise a crucifix is useless as is fire never use fire on an eidolon you just might make things worse better to use enough dynamite to level a building and if you know their true name you can force them to appear wherever you speak it which is bad news for the speaker but can be handy for drawing attention away from innocents and theres always magic if you have spells use those and failing that a tommy gun will solve things i did hear tale of a man who killed an eidolon by ramming it right in the gut with his fishing ship

i was reminded of a job i did down santimonica ways back in aught-four was a strangely dark time in the sunny city round about november or december ways pretty warm out though anywhat i was checking out some french beachside hotel owner was a cute girl and she was in a bit of a pickle with the property being haunted i figured it was eidolons but anyway i dont much recall how she got ahold of me i think i was running jobs through a girl by the name of aurora she still used a landline so that worked good for me anyway the whole hotel thing was a bust nothing there but rumors of heads in washing machines and frightened construction workers not my point really i was reminded of the cabby i talked to though weird guy sunglasses at night had a voice like that kinda popular canadian guy leonard cohen well see we got to taking i have a way of bringing that out of people and some jazz came on and he changed the channel and i asked if it wasnt his scene but he laughs and says he just cant listen to brass since jericho he says the hair on the back of his neck still stands to hear horns and I swear this guy must have been 23 or somat but still he goes on and starts talking about his kids says hes got a regular bakers dozen and i start doing the math in my head and he laughs he says all his kids are rotten little fucks a regular chips off the ol block and i says isn't he a bit young for all that and he looked at me over his sunglasses and said you aren't from around here are you? just a ghost of your former self

a good cover

heres a tip from one weirdo to another always have a way to cover your weird for example me i like to drink silver ribbon when i want to look like a normal at the bar i cant actually process alcohol anymore and it all hurts to piss out but the second best lager in the tristate area 1893 is resheshing like the beach that is near to water im pretty sure they cheated though because that drink was rancid as far back as the 50s when i tried it secondary school anyway it comes out cleaner than any other drink so its my weird cover at a bar

you ever here of a mooncalf its a kind of eidolon that mirrors itself into a thousand or more copies that bray in the bright moonlight an otherworldly sound that haunts your very bones agitating Ψ waves which you cant perceive or at least you dont know you cant perceive its kind of like how you cant feel wetness so much as temperature differential maybe scientists with their electron telescopes can isolate down what Ψ waves are made of but you and me theyre like x rays imperceptible but deadly dangerous see Ψ waves will shred your mind like one of them newfangled microwaves will shred your guts if you get exposed and mooncalves emanate a powerful force of them and the more copies of themselves they make the stronger the reverberance your best bet is to run or shine a bright light on as many of the copies as you can and youll know its them because a mooncalf looks like an undulating ball of flesh and eyes and mouths and other ungodly orifices but they are all counterpoints reflecting off of one another they crave moonlight but strong lights like say from a barn youve lit on fire well that dispells its copies so watch out

Saulot the Dragon

Blank-bodies are often considered the lowest of the night critters. Most night inquirers often rate them just above minor sorcerers. But don't really on hasty generalizations. All vampires are dangerous. Today's myth is the histories I've pieced together about a man named Saulot

This blank body was clever and laid a complex trap or sorts an lured in an honest to gods angel to the banquet. Apparently this clever bastard drained the fucker dry, I must assume the archon didn't think the leech was a real threat. By some unclear or undisclosed means, the leech ate the angel, and remember, when a blank body sucks your blood, they suck out your soul. And angels are all soul.

Another scrap mentions a "benevolent wise and timeless drinker" by same name, Saulot who discovered "the higher way," a cult or philosophy in blank-body culture called "Golcond" or something (spellings vary). This higher way in theory returns the humanity to leeches. If you believe that night inquirers, I have a bridge in San Angeles to sell you.

Another account I found in a 12th century note, speaks of a nest of demonic vipers that were clensed by their father, the Deva eater, called Saulot. It track that a blank body that consumes and perverts the soul of an angel would essentially be a demon.

In short, night inquirers, *never* trust a blank body. Burn on sight.

ever see a creature called the angel of light springs? strangest beasty in a little island about a half hour off of bayview have to take a fairy out there well its an island with a radio museum which is pretty nifty i was a bit of a radio enthusiast when i was a pup anywhat i was on the island to clear my head a little and maybe talk to an artistic pyschiatrist about a book i found when the hotel i was at was accosted by a brilliant golden woman standing nine feet tall from tip to toes glowing skin with shimmering sequin like scales that were radiant and what words she spoke or shouted at the guests after bursting down the door were unfamiliar to me maybe if i knew latin i could ream more of this damn book well anyway she singled out a guest and shouted more words at him and lifted him by the scruff of his neck i figured the old colt revolver in my pocket or the spell book at my hand would be of aid but to be honest when it comes to cryptids like this ive learned discretion is the better half of valour and so she flew off with this scrungly little man pinched between her fingers the hotel staff a cute little blonde i might have asked on a date if it was still 1963 well she tells me thats the angel of light springs and they call her lightbringer and every year around about the 19th of july she comes up out of the ocean and drags another soul to hell

you ever here of a doppeltgänger because out on the long winding road i heard tale of a fellow who met himself a real honest to goodness genuine copy of himself beat for beat every hair on his head was a match he thought maybe he found a long lost twin but the way he tells it the person was a sort of living illusion a memeber of eidolons called fey or someat like that so he tells me that this fey copy was suppose to take him to the fey airy court and they was gunna make him into some sort of jester and he said he didnt want that so hed run and why did the fey tell him that and thats when the fey doppeltgänger told him no one ever asks and fey can never lie well my fellow here picked up his hammer made of iron and brought it down on the feys face and ran and he hasn't stopped running yet strange story but it was a delightful dinner with the best cherry pie i ever did taste

These are normal mortals like you or me. But who go through a bloody ordeal and are ordained by extra terrestrial "messengers", maybe gnostic archons? The Imbued are chosen to kill the enemies of these mysterious messengers.

Personally I don't trust anyone who hears voices to choose who to kill and who to save

My sister was able to hack into a cell of these imbued and gather a handful of documents, and to me, they're worse organized then the Skull & Bone Bloggers, and we're not well organized.

back in the 80s when i wast traveling through some northern states i met a biker in bar with the strangest tattoo it glowed purple metallic like and his eyes were yellow with slit pupils he said he was a biker in special gang call the Chupacabras and i laughed and asked him what that meant well he seemed reticent but i offered to buy as much rotgut as he wanted for the tale and see i know some creatures can't tell that i know what there are loops for example they have somewhat called the delirious wall that makes common folks miss details like that. well i wind up challenging him drink for drink loser pays well he must have thought he had the underhand so he goes in but trick of the matter is alcohol runs right through me ever since that warlock carved up my guts now strong libations do nothing for me except burn on the way out so needless to say the big fella told me his story and i wound up spending a very painful hour in the bathroom

see back in old days a rogue vandal crew of blood suckers used to call themselves the cabras or capricorns doesn't matter they were water goats see these blood suckers could grow fins and goat horns what theyd use to ram river boats and sink them and drink their prey underwater well this made the waters filthy and a saskatoon family of "glass walkers" didn't care for that. glass walkers you see are loops what thing people are good and can speak to the spirits of civilization. most loops don't care for cities especially back then way back then well these loops didn't care for their river trade being disrupted or their clean clean water being mucked up so he tells me they go to hunt these caprascorns and they fuck em up good these glass walker loops make bargains with the spirits of the river and they get strength and can breath pure water he tells me he was there when they slew all the local bloodsucker mutants but they didnt stop there and now they roam the states however they can checking the riverways to make sure all the cabracorns are good and gone and

i says how you become known as the chupacabras then and he laughs and says the only way to make a bloodsuckers body pure is to remove all traces of the vitaye inside and the tricky thing is to get it out of the marrow of the bone so they wound up sucking the marrow out of these blood suckers bones means sucks goats and that sounds like something kids used to say to eachother to be edgey to me but hey to each their own

Inferno in the Night

Anyone fresh off initiation is gunna tell you, when it comes to blank-bodies, or vampires if you must be vulgar, always bring fire. Garlic and crosses are useless, and stakes will only help you if you're strong enough to drive that into a man's heart while you're actively fighting him.

But fire? Fire is cheap, easy, and works every time.

That is unless the fuckin' blank body is the inferno from down under. A contact of mine in Sydney has told me that her hunter contact found himself in the ICU for extreme burns when his whole squad when in to flush out the ranch hand. They weren't ready for the bitey bastard to go up like an inferno and *become* the very fire they thought they were going to take down.

Seems like some friends stateside have recently followed suit, and god help them, I like their spirit.

Anyway, fellow night inquisitors, always bring a back up, because the supernatural doesn't play fair.

ha! in your drams sonny jim even if i thought you had the stones to use this grimoire i wouldn't trust it in anyone elses hands the old man i took it from was using it to curse a family of a friend of mine big sal met him in the clink his whole family died at the age of 32 every one of them so when he gets out of the clink he looks me up at my parish and i obviously think he's full of it but he wants me to house break his own home and i say i don't do that anymore but he needs a priest to protect him so sod it i figure i cant get busted for breaking into someones own home thats just being a locksmith or something anyway i figure big sal just needs to be shown that curses arent real and dont get me started on what i found in the taurine thats gunna haunt me anyway a big invisible bastard tore big sals car in half and ripped off one of sals arms and well we run from that and downstairs the old man comes out from behind some stones and theres this hidden wine cellar under the house and he just lives down there and anyway he slices sals jugular and binds me with a sickening paralytic ray and im bleeding out so he does some chirurgery on me because he wants my body since his was getting old and that didnt fly with me no sir so i reach down and grab one of his scalpels while he's finishing stitching me up and i plunge it into his eye barely even made it to the saw bones after that got his book though so no im not sharing it with nobody

while i was wondering up the norwestern front near new washington and old canada i came accross the grossest spirit i ever encountered. i dont know if you know much about murder but it leaves a stain. spirits dont like to be murdered. and flatfoots have to look like they care. well when i was in the clink i learned a thing or two about covering up a corpse. see you trake them out into the woods yeah? and then you find an old abandoned outhouse. its not pretty but you drop a stiff in that rancid muck and there aint a corpse hound that knows the difference between decay and defecation. you know they train em on dentristry left overs. cadaver dogs are weird. sos you drop the stiff in and your golden. cept a murdered woman doesn't care much for her burial. getting back from the other side isn't pretty. get enough dead burried in the rotten refuse and you can get yerself a haint that you never wanna deal with. and friend, i dealt with one. an inopportune privy vist but the door was closed. sounded like someone was drowning in there. well i'm not exactly one to wait so i kicked down the door nearly gave myelf a hernia glad it wasnt just to get a peak of some tourist washing their hair. a fella was drowning in the concrete below the crapper which had turned to crap. i pulled him out, nearly wretching from the scent and he ran off like the devil hisself was chasing him well the spectral bones below didn't care much for the my interferance and i made my own tracks back to my old ford pickup, where I had a can of jerry just for such a similar occassion bone sharp claws on my shoulders as I lit the rag stuffed in the spout and tossed the bastard down to the filfth i drove off before the thing ruptured with a loud bang so im not sure if the situation is fixed or not but im alive and so is the tourist so thats a win
