Daniel Kim // Jenkins’ Log Clip #35
Paintings by Daniel Stepanek
Daniel Stepanek is a 40-years-old, self taught artist from small town Slough in UK. Having studied illustration and graphic design he knew he could draw but over the last 10 years has gravitated towards fine art being strongly influenced by artists such as Antony Micallef, Basquiat, Johan Van Mullem, Cesare Lucchini, Melissa Cooke and Ross Bowns. He is definitely finding his direction with a strong signature style emerging - one to watch!
A painting doesn’t have to have some long discombobulated meaning to it, to me it’s about expressing yourself at that particular time. Right now I am trying to ‘not try’ and let my experience do the work. via

Sy Graham
From murals to designer toys, Tristan Eaton emerged from the streets and into well known force in the art world. We featured his TrustoCorp project in Hi-Fructose Vol. 22, but he’s since put that venture aside to focus purely on his solo career. His striking, almost dream-like figurative style weaves together contrasting elements of pop, cartoons, and typography. One look at Eaton’s work and you can immediately see a collage of influences, and he has always sought to represent this visual language that he loves in a single piece. Eaton really dug deep for his next solo exhibition at Subliminal Projects on his home turf of Los Angeles.

This drawing has been one of the most difficult pieces to work through. But I'm finally moving forward. #wip #drawing #imnotcare #graphite #surrealism
