Keyrel's Short Stories

Greetings! I'm Alex, but I also go by Key! I used to be BLackShadow6202 on DeviantArt, but I've abandoned that site after they completely broke it and made it utterly useless. So now I'm starting over here. Originally, this was going to be a blog for just one storyline but now it'll have most of my art and writing. If you came here from my DA, then thank you! If you're new, then welcome! I may not post super often just yet, but that will pick up in time. I mostly write and draw fantasy, but there will be some sci-fi as well. DISCLAIMER: any locations, events, or characters in these stories are NOT intended to reflect real life, nor do they always match my own personal, political, and religious beliefs. I write stories to distract from the problems of the world, not to commentate on it. I hope you enjoy my world and characters! :)

This is Hunter, one of my OCs for Eskarrion. I forgot a couple things in his design here, but tweaking them would mess with the image too much and thus he is fangless and not smoking.

He's a Jekky, one of the races I came up with for my stories. In particular, Hunter here is a Mind Bio-Alt. Should mention; biologically male Jekky are supposed to have fangs buuuut like I said...I forgot. XD And this came out too good to try adding the fangs. (I did try, it looks weird) so for the sake of me liking this piece better, no fangs. But he DOES have them. I'll do more Jekky lore in a later post when I draw up some species refs. Before then, I might post more Jekky OCs and you might get a bit more lore before then.

Moving completely here from DA

That was a mistake. They broke the site even more, and now no one can see artist descriptions. So I'm modifying this blog to be more than just my stories, it'll contain my art too. Which means I'll end up posting more often at least.

First story incoming

I'll try and draw something to accompany it, which I probably won't do for every chapter/story I publish here, but for the first one I feel like I should. Drawing will take a bit longer to post, but I feel it's worth doing.

Oh as a note; the program I'm using doesn't seem to have spell check, so hopefully there aren't too many spelling errors. (Spell check tends to distract me during the actual writing, soo...no spell check.)

A greeting

Hello, mortals and maybe-not-mortals Tumblr! This is my writing blog, a place to put various stories for the world I have been working on since I think mid 2019. While there is a larger project for this world I am working on, that’s a lot more than simply writing. For now, I need to get the characters, lore, and a few other story elements worked out. The best way for me to do this is by writing. And I don’t want to just write it all up on my computer and then never have it see the light of day! So...why not Tumblr? Anyway, if anyone sees this particular post, this is mostly just to have a post on my page while I get it set up so I can see how it all looks lol. I’ll get the first story written and posted by the end of the week though! In the meantime, I’ll work on setting this up so it looks like I put at least SOME effort into this thing before I started posting! Hope my stories (and occasional inevitable art) brings enjoyment!
