I don't really have the words for this, but I'm going to try anyway! I have followed you on social media since about 2016/2017, and I make a point to see if I can find you on any site I have to move to (twitter, bluesky, etc) and you're one of the very first people I search for when that happens. Not in a creepy way, I just am so personally invested in Ryland and Basil, I can't imagine not seeing them every now and then. They mean the world to me and have heavily influenced my own approach to 1/

Hi! I almost wish you sent this privately so I could personally respond and thank you because you have no idea how much this meant to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to send me this, it genuinely put a smile on my face and made me feel like my art really is doing something out there. I’m almost 30 myself so really appreciate your words here. I miss drawing my boys I feel I really put them on a back burner In 2025 to take on more art work but also Ryland’s creator went through a lot of life events last year (good events, she moved, and got married and pregnant!) but with all of that hasn’t written them in years. Her works were my number 1 source of motivation and inspiration to draw them and it definitely took a toll on my drive to work on them alone. They still mean so much to me and I hope me and her can eventually work on getting a book out someday about their story. I know she still feels the love for them like I do and I shared these asks with her as well and we were both so happy to read them. But I hope you know the power your words had because it made me immediately get the inspiration to start a new rysil piece for the first time in months, so seriously thank you for the bottom of my heart ❤️
