A tweet going viral right now claims that Bob Dylan was driving down Hollywood Boulevard on Monday when he suddenly stopped to get photos with a Spock impersonator and a Don King impersonator. Wait, what?

This did actually happen, it seems — but it wasn’t this week, it was in February 2014. A more detailed account is available on the Facebook page of Paul Forest, an uncanny Spock impersonator who’s currently based in Las Vegas. “I think he’s a Trekker,” wrote Forest, using the fan-preferred term for Star Trek buffs.

One of the most striking features of this past weekend’s Eaux Claires music festival in Eau Claire, Wisc. was the organ music emanating from a giant mesh sculpture right in the center of the festival grounds. Now, the sculpture will have a permanent home somewhere in the city of Eau Claire.

According to the Associated Press, members of Prince’s family are planning an authorized tribute concert for Thursday, Oct. 13 at U.S. Bank Stadium — the Minnesota Vikings’ brand-new home in Minneapolis. Performers will be announced gradually, the family told the AP, and tickets will go on sale some time next month.

Marketing 101 Paradigm Shift: 4 P's to 5 P's

I don't know about you, but I get so caught up in the latest and greatest marketing technologies coming out and or the latest marketing buzz word (can you say content marketing) that I often times forget about going back to the foundations of marketing to lead the way in creating new marketing strategies for new clients.

The influence of the internet has even changed that approach a bit for me. Well, it seems many other marketers have also changed their approach too. Many marketers have talked about the marketing paradigm shift from the traditional 4 P's of marketing to the 5 P's.
