you should always remember that not all relationships last. not all relationships are meant to. when they stop being good for you, when they start to feel harder to keep together than to enjoy, it’s time to put yourself first. and “relationship” doesn’t just mean romantic relationship. it means any bond that takes care and effort in your life. they should all make you a healthier version of yourself rather than a version of yourself making sacrifices for someone never willing to do the same for you.
Edna St. Vincent Millay, Collected Poems
bring back the habits that made you happy as a child. there’s no reason you should ever have to give up harmless things that bring you joy. you don’t have to age out of having fun. finger paint. write mediocre fanfiction and questionable poetry. put chocolate chips in your waffles. sing in the bath, and while working in the yard, and while washing your hands. hammer tunelessly on a piano. spin in circles until you fall down. climb a tree. just because you’re now in charge of your life doesn’t mean you’re expected to give up on the things that make life feel worth living
If I could impart one thing to a young adult - it would be this. This is literally the secret to being okay your entire life.
Ether, 2006, Stephanie Valentin
If you’re reading this, this is a gentle reminder that you are enough – as is, right now.

gaining weight can be a form of self love.
losing weight can be a form of self love.
maintaining weight can be a form of self love.
physical recover from any type of disordered eating looks different from person to person. when we start to live a healthier life being more active and eating better (for some it means eating more, for some it means eating less, for some it means eating differently) our bodies can show any of the change mentioned above. none of them are wrong, it all depends on your personal journey through recovery.
Ironi II.
Kau bilang kau akan melakukan apapun untukku,
apapun yang aku mau, aku hanya butuh bilang.
Namun, ketika aku hanya memintamu untuk mencintaiku,
kau justru tidak bisa mengabulkan permintaan itu.

“If you can love someone with your whole heart, even one person, then there’s salvation in life. Even if you can’t get together with that person.”
— Haruki Murakami, 1Q84
if your teenage or childhood years were robbed from you due to trauma or abuse, i want you to know it’s not too late to experience that childish happiness. it’s not too late to enjoy life, have fun and gain yourself back.
