ohhh the dream stuff hits really close to home. keeping a book of slights like that is something i used to do before. i like how you write their state of mind and how theyd respond to things. its horrific, but very nicely written

i have a questtionn!! or two.. maybe three

has palette ever found dream after theyve harmed themselves? i imagine that would lead to them harming themselves *more* since technically that is a stress on palettes mind. how would dream react if this specific scenario hasn't happened before? have others found dream that way?

do they ever think about how palette would feel in the instance that palette finds them after they killed themselves/harmed themselves severely?

does palette suspect anything?

Yyyees I’m sure he has seen it accidently but- Dream has a very convenient excuse.

Dream is a very physically active person, he hunts animals, tends to the farm, trains excessively, and also does woodwork. In that he’s retained plenty of injuries a lot that pal has seen before.

I’m sure Dream has even used injuries he’s sustained from his everyday work to show palette first aid. Massive wounds palette’s definitely been taught how to disinfect, stitch up, and heal (magically and non magically).

So if he were to see Dream be missing his fingers he’d draw the conclusion—-> oh he probably accidentally got them chopped off during his woodworking. And I’m sure that’s what Dream would tell him as well. Though he’d feel a lot of shame in lying to his kid I’m sure he’d punish himself for that later.

I think palette just thinks his dad is awesome with his injuries 😭, though he’d does definitely notice when his dad is sad. I think the most he picks up on is his dad is really sad and lonley.

There’s this stupid bit where palette when going to the city puts up posters always advertising his dad for potential friendship. He doesn’t get any people to come tho because the posters just say “be my dad’s friend!” With a doodle of dream and no contact information. He’s trying ok

What sort of dynamic does Atrophy have with his subordinates? Along with Killer's, Dust's, and Horror's relationship with one another.

Horror and Atrophy already have that sort of evil homoerotic relationship going on, but does that insight actual care? Or does it fall more along the lines of "Oh well we're just doing these sorts of things because it's convenient, and yeah."

There was a point I was going to reference about how Atrophy changes his form because of how much his appearance matters to him, and in a weird round-a-bout sort of way since (At least I think I remember it relating to Horror?) ---Him shaping his form for someone is kinda intimate in a way; but I'm blind and can't find it in your archive if it's still there. Plus, that's more of a personal preference he has for himself(?)

Anyway, also on the "Does Atrophy care or not." ---He does plan to die, with his whole acceptance that the universe will end, along with his plans, or well, lack thereof, to just let the whole thing just fizzle out. Which could point more to not caring about the people around him.

I keep finding that every time there's an AU with a Nightmare variant, or just an interpretation of him in general; the whole idea of whether or not he cares or how much is a pendulum that likes to drastically swing to both sides. Probably so much so that it rips itself off the pivot and hits someone in the face or something.

Also asking about Atrophy's relationship with Psych too and how much they interact. I have to throw him in there ever since he camped out in my brain and never left.

Sorry if this is a lot, all of these questions sorta just linger evilly on me.

I expanded on Horror and Atrophy’s relationship here but I can talk more about Atrophy’s perception of Horror here.

He sees Horror as charming, a good listener, and loyal. if you asked him if he hated anything about the guy he’d probably just say he’s too quiet.

He does like using Horror as a self harm tool- many traits about Horror make Atrophy deeply uncomfortable. But Atrophy finds that desirable at the same time. The hurt he experiences with Horror is familiar and nostalgic, in a way it feels safer with him.

Atrophy holds two extreme feelings most the time at once- Horror is subordinate and safe to be around- and Horror is deeply uncomfortable to be around and has the potential to hurt him.

But he usually listens to the Former..

Atrophy does shape his form for Horrors preferences- maybe unconsciously but he hears what Horror thinks about weight and body shapes. Horror doesn’t talk much but when he does it’s usually about monster or human anatomy- he has an opinion to what the perfect body looks like and Atrophy forces himself to look like that for him. Atrophy wants to be perceived lovingly and with admiration- through Horrors eyes he makes himself that.

Atrophy is incredibly selfish- but he does deeply care for the people that serve his means. Psych and Horror are big parts of his plan and so he cares about them. Atrophy doesn’t care for the multiverse at all or anyone outside of his bubble. Atrophy thinks he is doing the best for the people he does love (in a similar way horror thinks). He is sure they will benefit from dying- and he actively puts in effort to accelerate the death of the multiverse because he’s so sure in this conclusion.

Oh and yes Psych and Atrophy interact a lot. Atrophy sees Psych as a symbol of hope that his plans will come to fruition. Psych coming to Atrophy was something prophesied to him hundreds of years ago. Atrophy is so accepting of him because he’s been waiting for this moment. Psych is death to Atrophy and Atrophy’s longstanding romanticism towards suicide and non existence peaks with Psych being with him.

Though I don’t think psych knows (yet) that Atrophy has like a long plan for him. Psych is just bewildered by the fact that someone wants to talk to him and be around him. As mentioned before Psych is a very inexperienced unsocialized guy so the concept of even having a friend is just nuts.

—Onto the basement things (dust and killer) I’ve decided awhile ago that Atrophy doesn’t actually see them. Atrophy sure can feel them and their misery (that’s what he’s feeding off of) bu he couldn’t care less about them. They are no more important than livestock, it’s just a process in making his meal.

Horror also perceives them as animals- he prescribes them animalistic titles and keeps them in inhumane conditions. Horror does have a more personal relationship with him- as nightwatch progresses he gets to know them more intimately.. I guess he kinda invades their brains. Killers player/chara outfit is only his later design in nightwatch when Horror gets more connected to the occult..but he only knows that because he reads his mind

Horror finds dust the most annoying he genuinely hates the guy. Dust actually fights back and will bite and insult during everything. While killer is very apathetic and just takes whatever happens to him.

Is psych physically weak? I kinda assumed that he sorta was especially after you said that his “muscles” weren’t actually muscles 🥲 if he’s not then how strong is he? I’m a little skeptical if he gets gains tho

At the moment he is very weak. He will break his bones and bleed everywhere just by doing chores. Not saying he will be like that for the entirety of nightwatch- Infact psych will experience a metamorphosis (literally he is a fucking bug). I think his metamorphosis is more of an incomplete metamorphosis as he won’t pupate- Psych physically is still in a nymph stage compared to what he’s supposed to grow into. (This is not me saying psych is like a minor btw he is still a grown ass man it’s just he still has a few stages to pass through)

Making contact with Atrophy makes a biological switch go off in Psych. That sounds gay when I say it like that- I mean Psych was fated to meet Atrophy. Not in like a nebulous *oooo they were ment to be soulmates* but in a deliberate way. Psych is a sign of the end times and it was promised to Atrophy hundreds of years ago- so when they pass the point of the prophecy becoming true Psych goes through physical changes to complete what is fated for him.

But before and where we start he is exactly how he was designed by medrune: fragile, full of blood, easy to extract from.

I know it’s probably a misspelling but Anthro works well as a nickname for him since it kinda puts him in a similar naming category as Psych. Psychology being the study of the mind and Anthropology being the study of human culture- which is quite accurate to what Atrophy is fixated on.

Ok but to answer your question there’s two flowers that I think are aesthetically Atrophy which is the Green Crythansium and the Red Auricula

Queen of the night flower is a flower that blooms once at night and dies out. It’s very beautiful but its beauty is ephemeral. For what atrophy is trying to achieve it’s really no different to that. In the context of atrophy it’s tragic.

The undertale multiverse, a realm built by creators, fans, and their collective ideas is dying. The massive blooming era of creation has dwindled to an age of dormancy. Aus are breaking down under the harsh weight of irrelevancy. The code that hold these stories together are irradiated and digested by Gods as they stray farther away from the warmth of the doodlesphere. Even that so called “warmth”, the epicentre of Creation itself; is no more than a up-kept graveyard for forgotten stories.

Living through this crisis are thousands of monsters and humans, now refugees from their decayed homes. They take refuge in a makeshift place- the omega timeline, and try to find a semblance of familiarity within it. Many have hopes that their creators will come back for them, so keeping themselves healthy and presentable for their eventual reunion is priority.

Medrune, a medical organization has taken up the case to make sure normalcy remains. Project psychology, a revolutionary injectable medicine called anti-corp is used to treat any unwanted changes citizens may have gone through in this unprecedented period. The source of this treatment is Psych, a monster- but legally medical equipment who just so happens to be unfortunately conscious. His body’s blood is harvested every few days to keep up the supply and extremely high demand.

His torture sustains the lives of thousands, he barely knows a life outside of this. Until a chain of weird rat filled events leads him to getting live camera access to a man who is on the other side of the coin, Atrophy. A man who has been feeding off the sadistic violence and labor of those living beneath him. But most importantly a man who claims he’s been in the same spot as Psych. His offer is to help him experience what it’s like on top of the food chain. For Psych to be a person for once, a brief taste of the hedonism Atrophy gets to indulge in everyday. The only minor fine print is to help him accelerate the death of the entire multiverse. Buttt that’s like.. like we don’t have to worry about that for a bit you know.

The issue is not everyone really wants to die in an accelerated heat death because two guys wanted to fuck around and do roleplay dress up time. Cultists of the Gods who control the natural processes of the multiverse try desperately to prevent this change. Dream the Knight of Hope, Ink the Encaustic Worshipper, Fresh the Demon of Abstraction- all try in their own ways to pull the strings of the plot in a desperate effort to avoid thousands of deaths. Though it’s not certain if their actions are fixing the situation or is just causing ripple effects throughout the lives of normal everyday people. Will the traditional order of the undertale multiverse win, or will the gay suicide cult somehow actually kill everyone. I know the answer but I won’t say it because that’s spoilers. Read nightwatch.

Atrophy and Dream really must be related because they are both so gorgeous. Even through being goop Atrophy is still so beautiful like how to you even do that?

I mean the answer is he’s well fed and in a privileged enough situation to be able to but still. Like his face has something so special to it, it’s no wonder he’s a muse for a God.

Dream is more modest than atrophy (most of the time at least), but I think he’s just as beautiful. I can’t put my finger on what makes him beautiful..

Maybe it’s the fashion, for some reason they are just genetically fashionable. A disposition to serve if you will.

I’m just rambling but I hope you can tell I love them and I’m happy you all like them too even if my interpretations of the dreamtales is quite odd

Dumb fact- I never really see people explain why it’s just sanses in the bad sans group. I know it’s self explanatory. It’s sans aus you’ll just find sanses. But that’s not good enough for me.. no…

In nightwatch, Horror is the one to find killer and dust. He explicitly decides to choose them because they look like himself and are sanses. He doesn’t actually see harm in hurting them because to him it’s just self harm, and he couldn’t care less.

Horror also doesn’t see atrophy as a sans he kinda just is a guy. So to him the house is just his buddy atrophy and two weak versions of himself he enjoys hurting. Horror takes out a lot of guilt and self hatred onto them, a majority of the time he sees them as mirror images of himself, just his least favourite traits. Killer- representing his helplessness, and Dust- representing his recklessness. Both things he’s incredibly insecure about because those behaviours lead to the death of his timeline.

Him assigning animalistic traits to them, him dehumanizing them, is the exact same way he treats himself and desperately wants to be treated. Horror delusionaly feels like he’s in hell, and has taken place as the tourturer and the tourtured. Atrophy is simply the God who platforms it.

What do people know about the host? It's the god of fanon space and is the one responsible with attracting creators so you'd think people in multiverse(?) would be interested/invested in it but that doesn't seem to be the case. Or at least I haven't seen much about it

Oh boy oh boy what a question

Everyone in the omegatimeline is connected to the host via the dream realm!

When a character is not conscious their soul goes to the fannon space where anything can happen! Angels (anons, fic writers, readers- anyone who likes playing around with prexisting characters and aus) get to warp their dreams and put them in situations with other characters. Anything is really possible in there.

This space is inside of the host gods mind- and the host god is located in the anti voids outside of the doodle sphere.

The reason everyone is connected to the host is creation made a deal with him to try to keep the fandom active still- even if people aren’t making new aus anymore, having people interact with the fannon space keeps some life in the utmv and potentially inspires now creations. So the omegatimeline really is just a mental farm for the fannon space- securing a mass amount of potential souls that will be fed to and used by angels and potentially new creators. This plan is mostly carried out via the right hand man of the host god- Fresh.

But monsters don’t really know about that because that would kinda freak them all out? Like realizing all your dreams are actually real and viewed by other worldly beings is kinda reality breaking. So it’s just kept undercover. There are worshippers, but it’s pretty esoteric knowledge. There’s no blatant church established like the church of creation and there’s no main stream discourse about it.

For all most normal monsters know there is one single God and that’s Creation and I guess creators as minor connected deities. A lot of imagery and magic that is from the host or is associated with him is rebranded as Creationist. Angels are only connected through the host but no one knows that- instead their imagery is Creationized.

Both these religions work together begrudgingly at the moment to prevent the death of the multiverse. They are aligned against the Atomized and the growing void that could soon consume them. Ink isn’t the most enthusiastic to work with the colorful demon fresh but he really has no choice.

Anyways if you want an idea with who knows about the Host- it’s really most high ranking cultists. Ink, fresh, dream, atrophy, horror- with enough searching it’s kinda obvious there’s a second god.

As a side note on Atrophy, he actively leeches off of the fannon space and uses his powers to construct his own dreams. The host god isn’t the biggest fan of this parasite but he’s good at evading and hiding from his minions so he proves to be a genuine threat.

Elaborating of the scrapped the idea of there being multiple dreams

There wasn’t actual multiple dreams physically because dreamtale is a rare one off au in nightwatch. But what was going to happen was I was building on dreams DID. Different dream interpretations where to make up Dreams system.

Example: Classic Dream was a social masking alter but also one who focused on self soothing and motivation. Classic Dream represents everything Dream wants to be- strong, kind, approachable, more connected to modern monster culture (hence the More bright modern clothes)

The host (nightwatch dream) the main guy who’s fronting, has a lot of amnesia. Holds a lot of ocd like traits and self correction. Incredibly paranoid on self purity and internal moral policing. He fronts most the time because guilt and shame are the easiest feelings for them to feel constantly.

Shattered Dream was supposed to hold Dreams depression and apathy. The Human culture they grew up with had a lot of demonic imagery of slime monsters- or sin being connected with melting flesh. Hence the internal form shattered would take up. Shattered would hold repressed religious doubts to their experiences and would work a little persecutory with their self hatred in influencing the front.

Swap Dream holds a lot of more extreme dedication towards religion and worship of their dead brother. A lot of the more self destructive militaristic behaviours they grew up with shows incredibly strong in SD. Killing XGaster, sacrificing themselves for blue, ritual self punishments are carried out by SD. (Not to say he’s an ‘evil alter’ he just holds the most self destructive part of themselves and is a very hurt person)

a little dream- a regressed version of themselves when they were a child. Trauma holder (I won’t go into it because it’s graphic) but also one who holds a lot of grief to losing atrophy

Most importantly (and also not following the dream only pattern) an introject of what they believe Atrophy to be. Though Dream sees this fully as a religious spiritual haunting of his dead brothers ghost. But in reality he is a alter

That’s what it was supposed to look like- and they’d also be a pretty unaware kinda? They believe they have multiple spirits inside of themselves. (That’s what I was told when I was younger too) For the host he sees their existence as more of a religious thing then something psychological. Which is why a lot of internal communication happens through prayer sessions for them!

I got rid of it because I thought people would have a yawn fest over having to listen to my DID tangent in the storyline. I only really kept the Atrophy introject. But Idk..I might add it all back in. I just thought it’d be boring

Nah it’s not too spoilers it’s established as a thing pretty early on

I think most people will assume it’s just dream hallucinating or it being a similar thing to how classic dust has his papyrus ghost thing he talks to.

First off the introject of atrophy is named Night because that’s the name Dream is familiar with. Night is a unique alter in how he functions- I don’t actually know if there’s a popular term for it in system spaces online but I’ve encountered this type of alter in talking to DID professionals and my own system exploration.

That is like, I guess an “internal God”. An alter who doesn’t front at all but instead acts as an internal religious voice. When you’re near death it’s the voice you pray to, it’s the voice that judges you when you confess your sins to it idk. Different to like a caregiver or a gatekeeper or whatever catagories there are- you and the alter (or even the whole system entirely) believe It to be God and because of that conviction it has a lot of power over you mentally (even though it’s not actually anything supernatural)

For Dream this is hard because the guy is very spiritual, he has no doubt this is his brother. But in how that is experienced it means Night gets to see how “internally disgusting” he is. Dream has very fucked up intrusive thoughts, ruminations, and ideations- and so Nights existence is to essentially shame and pick at him for that. He is also there to embody the guilt Dream has for not protecting his brother and letting him die (in his pov).

But he also serves to comfort and motivate Dream in some way. Doing things and staying alive because God himself told you so is pretty encouraging. Also it’s his brother,, I don’t know just the idea of being there- even if he is judgemental is soothing in someway

Personality wise Night is supposed to be similar to classic nightmare- or at least popular interpretations of him. Much more grumpy and cold than Atrophy’s louder colourful personality. He has interest in reading and fabric making- both hobbies Dream knew Atrophy enjoyed when they were children. He also visually is a guess of what Dream thinks Atrophy would look like if he grew up- so he’s dressed in similar traditional clothes to Dream and also isn’t corrupted by goop. He also has angel wings and a Halo because of his religious introjection..

Usually Dream talks to him in his prayer room or as palette calls it the “dead uncle room”- I’ve talked about it before but it’s mostly just filled with wooden religious iconography of Night (alongside some normal deities- host, creation, atomized). There he usually brings offerings of animal hide from his hunts to initiate internal dialogue between him and Night.

Dream doesn’t know Atrophy is alive, he fully believes his brother is dead and is a spirit haunting him now.

Dream also doesn’t know of Psychs existence. Actually hmm- Technically he does and he’s been quite close to him one could say. But if Dream saw Psych and Psych saw Dream neither of them would recognize eachother at all.

Now in a hypothetical world where they know Atrophy is alive and they recognize who Psych is then yes he’d be jealous. But maybe moreso concerned and actively would try to remove Atrophy from Psych because that’s just an obvious suicide pact.

Yes there are but If I think about it I don’t have any that go strictly by they/them. Which is my fault for not realizing that deficit

Anyways Memory identifys as Transfem nonbinary pretty blatantly. Her main pronouns are She/they/it

Palette will be more nonbinary and will go by every pronoun ever

Scell is nonbinary and he will be closest to being a he/him enby butch

This is hard because there’s characters that should be non binary but they’ve decided to dedicate themselves to some freakish god (not naming names cough) and their gender is “whatever is closest to god” kinda like in a Gabriel ultrakill way.

There’s also characters who identify as soulless objects- who weren’t raised with genders or were dehumanized to the point where they don’t really connect to gender anymore. Like Psych isn’t considered a boy or a girl he is a blood production machine. He’s assigned nothing at birth

Characters like memory were also forced into that gendered class of being an object, memory takes and active effort to engender themselves even if not in a binary way. Atrophy is similar, he was raised as a toy or a ritual object, genderless in that way and not expected to be anything besides that. Opposite to memory he genders himself only with extreme binaries.

God atrophy I could go on about him but that’s not what you asked…

There’s a lot or technically nonbinary characters but less “I’m happy and I express myself this way”

More “I exist to please you and I have no identity” or “I’m a worthless object” which I don’t think is.. the most accurate to what we consider enby

In a previous ask about dust you said something about class/gender structure with soulless creatures (i.e. rats) and could you go more deep into that perchance?

This is less of a pride ask and more of a world building ask but yes hehe.. my favourite kind of question

I said before that there are classes of people that are below monsters in some way. These groups in the omegatimeline tend to be those from

1) hostile timelines / aus like an underfell for example

2) corrupteds (substance corruption, code corruption, typically people with varying stages of amalgamation

3) objects

I’ve already discussed how hollow is used as an insult for those who are mentally ill, but the concept of having less of a soul is quite stigmatized- even if you technically do have one.

Monsters from more hostile aus are just considered to have less of a soul or be innately hollow just because of their culture and circumstances. Any adjacency to violence is pretty looked down upon in the very pacifist timeline dominated OT. Even if the timeline is peaceful (like a theoretical pacifist fell) it doesn’t matter because they are still considered innately hollow.

To be dehumanized and labeled as hollow is to lose some credibility to every facet of your identity, including gender. Being referred to as an it (which is a soulless pronoun) isn’t uncommon. The hostile thing extends to criminals (those with high lv) as well. This is the catagory Dust would mostly fall into if he were to take refuge. In that way his self identification isn’t incorrect to how monsters would perceive him, just a hollowed violent rat.

Dust also intersects with another identity which is corrupteds. This spectrum can go from drug users to immobilized amalgamations. What they have in common is a physical tempering of the soul. Which again is very taboo. Some are garnered more sympathy than others, it seems like traditional amalgamations (those from classic pacifist timelines) are the most sympathized. But still even the state of their soul and identity is debated publicly. Memory for example is an amalgamation of what medically is classified as a “sans blend”. Usually what ever monster trait doctors find they latch onto as the true identity of the amalgam. Memory’s body was forcibly melted down and reconstructed to fit a sans shape, even if it isn’t what memory is and causes later medical problems. Sex wise once the procedure is done memory is assigned as male, but socially people still see mems as soulless hence memories original pronouns as (he/it). No matter how hard memory could try to be a man no one will see her as equal, but memory is expected to play it out regardless.

And for those with the most extreme label of soulless you have those who’s soul aren’t considered human or monster. Psych has an abnormal soul in that it’s not identifiable as anything. Tests done on it conclude it’s closer to the make up of some fauna then the make up of any human or monster soul. Psych was also assembled and made in a hospital, in that way his identity is similar to memory as his body was physically constructed by others. But he doesn’t have to benefit of memory having dna from an actual timeline. Instead he really isn’t any different from lab rats or a heart monitor. He exists not because of a creator but because of the hospital. (In the first chapter he literally calls the hospital his God). In that Psych is owned by people, like an object. Memory and Dust would have the ability to get limited jobs because legally they have some kind of soul even if it’s hollow or tempered with. But Psych is property. His legal documents don’t even assign him a sex or gender even if he’s physically male. People who pity him may give him gendered pronouns like he, but the people who pump his blood and feed him don’t think twice in their internal monologue when referring to him as “it”

That’s for the omegatimeline at least in their social structure

There are characters like Dream and Atrophy who experience a similar gender..torture? Gender dehumanization? To these other cases. Atrophy being pretty close to experiencing the same as psych. I mean he is physically soulless too- augh but this rant isn’t about atrophy.

You’ll see I make the “it” pronoun pretty derogatory, as it is used like that. But some monsters who experience this dehumanizing language reclaim it as something they find community and identity in. Memory will refer to herself as it, which is quite weird because people are supposed to refer to her as that. She’s supposed to play as a man, but her using feminine pronouns and accepting ‘it” is very self expressive and seen as hostile I guess.

Fresh is an enigma I think. I think an important thing to establish is unlike ink he doesn’t actually like worshiping his god. Truly fresh wants to commit reality bending mischief without being tied to the rules of the Host god (god of fannon)

Ink worships creation because he sees the greater scheme of the multiverse and decides to orientate himself to the closest thing that’s real (creators and creation). Fresh as well sees beyond the veil of reality and by god is he fucking bored. He doesn’t find creators appealing to worship at all, Infact he sees readers, creators, and anons as lazy absent minded gods with simple attention spans.

Fresh desperately wants to be a violent person. He finds chaos and cruelty infinitely more interesting then facilitating the same fluffy coffee shop found family fannon aus. He gets a few darker fannon aus, be it your infection stories and angst fics. But it’s simply not enough.

Ironically he’s physically unable to hurt a fly or even mutter a blatant threat or curse. Fresh is sanitized because of the will of the host and he hates it.

But he’s forced to smile and sparkle on regardless of his feelings. What he truly desires is freedom but when your the right hand of a God you are no better then a puppet.

I don’t know if enc (ink) is aware of fresh being like this, I think he belives him to be creepy and a freak, but he is at a high status similar to himself. Though I’m sure they would have theological discussions and enc could pick up on shards of bitterness in the demons tone.. suspicious at the very least.

Fresh is used to facilitate the greater plan to bring the host a requested worshipper. I’ve explained before pj and Gradient exist to be potential candidates for that( because the host was so fond of ink’s loyalty and wanted essentially a clone of ink). Fresh takes the place as the families “landlord” the parasite has invaded most of their personal lives to monitor and weigh the potential in each of the children.

However fresh is manipulating this plan to his own advantage, there’s one factor that the host is unaware of and fresh has been intentionally neglecting. This connects back to what both atrophy and horror are doing, but for fresh it’s his one chance at freedom.

So yeah he’s probably bisexual that’s my conclusion

Do all the skeletons have flesh and bodies instead of just having bones or echo bodies?

Dream is fleshy because he’s made of human corpses mostly, Atrophy would also be fleshy if he didn’t gooby goo

But all skeletons have “ecto bodies”, I can give some long winded stupid explanation on how it works for how I designed the magic circulatory system in monsters. But my real reason is I want to have body type variation for character design purposes. Fat, skinny, muscular- it’s just convenient yk. They can’t turn them off though in nightwatch. They are quite similar to glass frogs where they are just see through.

At least that was the designs inspiration.

Also nightwatch has a lot of torture and gore. They need to have.. innards. Yes… God has designed you only for pain my little watchlings..yes..

The most common comment I get is “why is nightmare green”

I like seeing people debate or defend my greening of him. My genuine answer is I like green but this comment is quite charming

Well I guess it’s more then “I like green”, I want people to look at Atrophy without the expectations of Nightmare. Also he’s supposed to resemble fruit mold which tends to be green

Random side note about psych. I used to have it written that he was an alcoholic.. but as time goes on I kinda strayed far from that.

It just doesn’t make sense for how I set up his belly. He could eat glass and itd immediately get vaporized inside of him. If he drank alcohol he might get a buzz from the feeling of it simply going down his throat but it wouldn’t get him tipsy at all.

I also don’t know how he’d even get drinks that easily. So instead I make him a chronic snacker of random medical equipment. Maybe in the dream-realm atrophy could stimulate what drinking would feel like for him but it wouldn’t be on the same scale as I used to write him doing.

I explore alcoholism more with atrophy anyways. I think my writing for psych was poor in that area so I must of unconsciously relocated it to atrophy.

Why is there alcoholism in nightwatch? I grew up around alcoholism my whole life I guess it’s just important to me- and what is nightwatch but thaltros self indulgent slop peice. I know it’s weird but whatteverrr

But yeah now a days psych is just a hungry hungry catapiller and eats medical supplies. Never give him your bio hazard disposal box, he will eat the sharps like popcorn
