Week 40: February 29-March 4, 2016
 âSpell hell weekâ
T-H-I-S W-E-E-K!!
For this week, we probably took all of our exams which is awfully tiring. Plus, we had our Investigatory Project Defense on the first day of this week. But I didnât have much trouble with that since I defended it for more or less three times.
On Tuesday, however, we did an activity and that was to make a stopwatch application. It was very interesting and fun to do. And thereâs this bit of pride that appears when you did it right.
Then on Thursday, funny story actually. On the night before Thursday, most of my classmates were reviewing on what codes will be used, they were typing in Visual Basic. However,since I didnât have Visual Basic...guess what I did...I just slept. And on Thursday morning, I kept grieving that I would get zero because I did not understand VB exactly.
But when the hands-on was done and the applications were checked. Guess what my score is. It was 107/110. Which is shocking actually. But yeah, sometimes the unexpected happens when you least expect them to happen, obviously.
Week 39: February 22-26, 2016
Another sad thought had crashed over me on this week, itâs probably less than a month before we get to go to our different pathways. *sigh* It only seemed like yesterday that we passed our scholarship exams.
But going back...we continued our discussion in Visual Basic. And this certain lesson in Visual Basic is the select case statement. Itâs a lot like if-else statement in JavaScript and also in VB but way easier.
So yeah, thatâs about it.

Week 38: February 15-20, 2016
For the first day of this week, we were introduced to Visual Basic. Haha, good bye JavaScript, it was nice knowing you. (; But anyway, we had our practice teacher in TLE, who introduced us to Visual Basic. Basically, all of my classmates were saying how beautiful they are. And they were right, our practice teacher was indeed pretty.
Anyway, since a few of us were gone for the Robotics competition, the others had started discussing the application for Visual Basic which is Microsoft Visual Basic. Visual Basic is new to me. Hopefull, VB would be easier than JS.

Week 37: February 8-12, 2016
Heeey people! And welcome back to week 37!
Thursday of this week was our hands-on quiz and I was mentally panicking because i havenât yet completely understood JavaScript 4. Sure, I got some of the codes right but sometimes I had to depend on either Shaznie or Kayzzel and ask what loop theyâre using. Ugh.Â
Then on Thursday, we had our hands-on quiz and I may have not finished the whole code but still...I did my best. Sometimes, your best isnât just enough or somebody did their best better than you. Either way, itâs cool.

Week 36: February 1-5, 2016

Haha, anyway, guess what we did for this week? We did some more exercises! Remember that time when I told you that I would understand JavaScript 4 soon? Well, guess what again? I did not. Haha, kidding. Okay, I did understand a few but I have to open up codes that we copied so I still had when it comes to not copying from past works. So, I must be doomed when our hands-on quiz would come up. But I pray that I would pass.
But Iâm doing my utter best to understand this! For Narnia! I mean, for myself!

Week 35: January 25-29, 2016

Okay, so for this week, it's time for us to apply what we have learned in JavaScript 4 and do some practice exercises. 'Twas the day that I said to myself that I should review the codes more often, but guess what? I never did *sigh* Anyway, the first exercise was to make a while loop that would display '10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1'. At first, we didn't get it. Some did it in for loop, but our teacher said that it was to be done in for loop. Since none of us got it, even in batch 2, our teacher sent us the code for it. So, we typed it and emailed it to ourselves so we could copy it to our computers in the TLE room.

Okay, I admit, at first, making flowcharts were just a piece of cake. But, wow, I was wrong. Because in the first place, I didnât understand loops. But with the help of my batch mates, I managed to understand just a little bit of the lesson. Special thanks to Shaznie who was very generous in helping us.
But before completely understanding the making of flowcharts, you have to understand which each shape does.

Week 33: January 11-15, 2016
I think I didnât attend TLE for this week. Because we represented our division in the Regional Schoolâs Press Conference held in Mangaldan. Even though none of us got to the Nationals, weâre still very thankful that we had the chance to enter that contest.
Anyway, on Thursday, I only went to school in the afternoon because I was so tired and I needed rest. The following tasks that our teacher gave us is to make flowcharts for the codes in JavaScript 4. What? I had a lot of trouble with these tasks since I still had trouble wth JS4 but hopefully soon Iâll understand it. Well, arriverderci for now (:

When your mind is still floating on the thought of vacation...
Weeey, we are back in school again. Why? Haha, kidding. But anyway, I missed my classmates. Just them not school. Haha. Well, during this week i realized that my classmates and I only have more or less 3 months âtil we go our separate pathways. Wow, 4 years of seeing these weird people and all of the sudden, weâll stop seeing each other. I think I canât handle the thought of that.

Week 29: December 14-18
Hello internet! Welcome back to my very (odd, weird, idiosyncratic)_______ blog. Hope youâre having a spontaneous day! If not spontaneous, then make it spontaneous, okay? Spontaneity doesnât happen by itself, you know.
Anyway, for this week, what we did was do several exercises to prepare ourselves for the hands-on quiz next year. It was definitely hard when you donât yet fully understand JavaScript 3, but luckily I understand it well enough to get through the exercises.

Week 28: December 7-11
âWhat is the name of the variable?â Num sir. *everybody laughs* Hahaha. Okay, to be frank, while writing this Iâm trying so hard not to laugh.
Okay. So on Monday of the 28th week of the whole school year, we didnât have our ICT class because we had to take our Junior High School Completion picture. Time flies fast so fast, I canât chase after it. And to think, my height is still for an elementary pupil.
On Tuesday of this week, we discussed about turning a data type into a different data type eg. strings into numerics/numbers and vice versa.
We did not meet last Wednesday because of the TechnOlympics contest of our classmate. And since it is related to ICT, Sir Peralta went as well.
And last ThursdayâŠđđSURPRISE QUIZđđ You know, not all surprises are good. Take this surprise quiz for example. When sir announced to get one-fourth sheet of paper I started panicking because Iâm still getting the hang of JavaScript 3. But then, it turns out that I got the highest among our batch with a 5 out of 10 score. Haha, what fun.

Week 27: November 30-December 4
For this week, we only met on Thursday. Why? Because on November 30 (Monday), we had no classes because it was Andres Bonifacio day. On the following day, we were excused because we had to polish everything for our competition which is on the next day. The day after that was the awaited day, the choric speech competition, we were definitely serious about this. But truth be told, we joined the contest so that we donât have to have the extemporaneous speech.
We got 3rd place out of 3 competitors. But anyways, we did pretty good considering we only had 2 DAYS FOR PRACTICE. But yeah, we were awesome.

Anyway, on Thursday we tackled about new operators in JavaScript. Confusing since it has math in it but yet interesting because of how JavaScript can do flabbergasting tricks about Logical OR, AND and NOT.

Week 26: November 23-27
Normal? After last week, I think I canât do normal. Wait a minute, I was never normal. Kidding! Anyway, I wasnât informed that we would be studying math in JavaScript. Operations, operands, operators, +, =, -, what?!
We were introduced to precedence and associativity. Basically, precedence refers to the PMDAS in Mathematics and associativity refers to the order on which an operator evaluates its operands, right to left or left to right.
I think I can handle this, I hope I can, I pray I can. Letâs do this. đđŒ

Week 25: November 16-20
đđ»đ Hereâs to the nights when I should be sleeping, to the days when I should be in our classroom, to the vacancies weekends when I should be resting and enjoying quality time with myself, I DID IT!!
Joking aside, this week has been probably the most stressful week I could and would ever remember. This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions.
On Monday, we had our training, probably our very last training for this DSPC. Weâve been training our butts off for the past week. And for the following days were just, bang bang bang pew pew pew! But on the day of my event, copy-reading and headline writing, my brain was literally out of its normal state, it was in emergency mode. When I received the paper I was supposed to be working on, I cried (not literally though) and tried my very best.
I went home after a few hours after my event, and for the whole trip home I was so nervous. Nervous that maybe I would not make it into the top 7 to go to the regionals, nervous that maybe I would be the only one not to make it to regionals. I would be a great disappointment.
Miraculously, thanks to God, I made it to the top 7 (self high five). But it doesnât end there though, I still had to present my investigatory project in the Division Science Fair on Friday. I did my bestâŠagain. But this time, sadly, my best wasnât enough. Oh well, life isnât always perfect. But still, I thank God for the opportunity.
Stressful, am I right? But all of those sacrifices were worth it. And besides, itâs the last year of my junior high.
