“Always be yourself, there’s no one better!”
“Some people think that to be strong is to never feel pain. In reality the strongest people are the ones who feel it, understand it, accept and learn from it.”

“suddenly you’re ripped into being alive. and life is pain, and life is suffering, and life is horror, but my god you’re alive and it’s spectacular.”

Painting is the most agreeable way of ignoring life. x
In academia, people of color and different cultures are often underrepresented. Many people think that reading Donna Tartt, Sylvia Plath, Shakespeare, Aristophanes, etc., studying the ideologies of Nietzsche and Camus, studying Greek art, learning Latin, listening to Bach and Chopin, etc. makes one an academic. That is so untrue because academia, intelligence, music, art, architecture, and literature also exists in cultures outside of Europe and European Americans (yes, I just called white people European Americans) as well.
there is safety in familiarity, yes, but there is joy in discovery. beauty wears thin, time snaps past, & not one man can prevent its turning.
but the wonder & excitement of finishing the first chapter of a book & realising you simple cannot put it down is an unlimited ecstacy.
(sex indifferent) ace culture is listening to very sexually explicit songs without being flustered at all 'cause you like the tune
Aspec culture is knowing you're somewhere on the ace-spectrum but not actually knowing where and deciding to just refer to yourself as ace rather going with any micro label since you know trying to figure out an exact label would just stress you out and just saying ace feels more comfortable anyway even if it doesn't necessarily fit (metaphorically) word for word.
AroAce culture is Actually watching netflix and chilling ~

You are the only person who can know what labels work for you. You are the expert on your own identity.
Researching the way our brains tend to comprehend information has made me love the brain as a whole.
