Eliot grumbled under his breath, despite of course knowing Kian was right. He huffed and slowly began unveiling the blanket from covering his whole face. And of course the majority had to do with the stupid ball and all that ensued as of late. âToo much, thatâs whatâs wrong, Ki.â Elliot shook his head before unable to help a grin beginning to form at the mention of her throwing punches at people. âJust as I would for you. And I mean, I would consider it, if the problem didnât consist of my own sisterâŠI think thatâs a big issue. I didnât see you at the ball. At the hotel our parents own, even. Or even played a game of pool.â He stated dejectedly. âBut⊠yeah⊠so that whole ridiculous announcement? Viâs apparently involved with it. And oh no, thatâs not even the half of it. I argued with practically half the crowd and her even before that.â Elliot shrugged. âSo yeah, Iâm just being lied to all around these days.âÂ
âYou know thereâs never too much whenever it comes to me, at least I hope you do.â she said, muttering the last sentence to herself though it was probably loud enough for him to hear.Kian knew that she had been a lousy friend as of late, and not that she was doing it on purpose but whenever things got too hard for Kian, she would always isolate herself and it was never a good strategy to work with. âI know, and Iâm sorry. I know I havenât been a good friend lately, but thatâs gonna change, I promise. Just like you said to me, remember? Now itâs my turn to hold up my side of the deal.â she said, looking for his eyes as she threw him a reassuring smile. Kian heaved a sigh at the mention of his sister, feeling more worried than most. âEl, what happened?â Kian asked before letting out another sigh, tugging on the blanket again. âWhat about we do something today? You say the word, and Iâll take you there right now.â
