Ignis played the piano! Together with Noct. Tabata would like to show a scene depicting that eventually. (No one asked him about the piano; he brought that up on his own.)
Q: Ignis joined Noct’s side at around 6 years old, does that mean he lives in the Citadel? Does he have parents?
A: He lived there. He has parents, more or less. It seems that fact wasn’t mentioned even once, but they were both in good heath during the departure from Insomnia.
Q: Did Ignis tell Gladio about the ring? Is it because he talked to Gladio that chapter 10 (the train scene) was the way it was?
A: My impression is that he didn’t talk to him. Because they have an even deeper relationship, Gladio was likely able to ascertain for himself, but— now that I think about it, it’s possible they could have talked about it.
Q: Is Gladio’s mother alive?
A: That’s something you never hear about, huh? In Gladio’s case, it’s because his father’s role is so central. I guess I’d say she’s alive at the time of their departure since I’ve never heard anything contrary to that.
Q: About the story behind Gladio’s scar. One of the foreign reference books mentions Gladio got it protecting Noct from a drunkard, but is it correct to say this story hasn’t been revealed in Japan yet?
A: Huh? That’s written in English official materials?—[While saying things that made it apparent it was the first he’d heard about it, he added] That’s a problem if it’s actually from a canon source. [and sent an email right there on the spot for his staff to confirm whether or not that was true.] (Sorry this remains unanswered ) (Not part of the interview, but for reference, the story behind Gladio’s scar actually is written in Final Fantasy XV - The Complete Official Guide, an English book.)
A: About the Regalia. I’d really like to see Gladio drive, or have the characters change seats randomly!
A: While changing the driver is easy, creating new animations for the 3 others is quite difficult. (A/N: I’m fine with them sitting up straight, so please implement it)
