The Candle: A Bowser/Peach Doujin: ____________________________________ New Pages every Wednesday! Tumblr | Deviantart | Tapastic ____________________________________
This page (2 pages?) was literally the hardest to do. I had so many thumbnails for this page that I couldn’t decide on which one. I know I had one friend who insisted that they didn’t want to actually see Bowser fall, but I felt it leaves a stronger impact.
How to get your readers invested in a ship with a single page.
Nothing adds to the suspense like early major character death!
i just stumbled on your comic “candle” for the first time and I know it’s been a while so I just wanted to let you know there are still people out here discovering and loving your work 🥰
Thank you! I'm glad you stumbled upon it! I am sorry it's been a while. My family moved last year and my ability to focus on drawing anything has left me for the time being. I open the files and work on it here and there, but not at any pace where anything is really getting done ^^'
Hey, thanks for sticking with this fan Comic! It was short, and took WAAAAAAY longer than it should have, but it’s doneso!
If you enjoyed this and want to check out some of my other stuff I have the first chapter of an original take on Cinderella over here called “Faeredoux: The Thirteenth Hour”
If you’re a fan of the Super Mario Bros., Specifically of BowserxPeach why not give a read to my Mario fancomic “Super Mario Bros.: The Candle”? There’s like, 130 pages over there!
Anyway I hope you all have a good night! And remember, Things change, bad things happen, good things happen. Try not to lose sight of the good when you’re down.
Chapter 3 ends here. Not gonna lie I’m a few pages into Chapter 4 I just can’t come up with a title and a chapter art idea. Also for some reason I’m also doing pages from chapter 5 :/ Life is Tiring.
If you’ve enjoyed The Candle and are a fan of the PS2 classic Jak and Daxter Why not jump over to my short fancomic “Jak and Daxter: Drift”?
It’s just finishing up it’s 24 page run!
And if want to check out some of my other stuff I have the first chapter of an original take on Cinderella over here called “Faeredoux: The Thirteenth Hour”
Hey, Thanks for sticking around for chapter 1 of Faeredoux: The Thirteenth Hour. This is the last page of Chapter 1. Life and my personal wherewithal has kinda stunted my drawing over the last 6 months so I don’t know when chapter 2 will be out. When it is it will probably be uploaded in bulk updates because I just can’t handle weeklies anymore no matter how hard I try.
If you’ve enjoyed Faeredoux so far and are a fan of the PS2 classic Jak and Daxter Why not jump over to my short fancomic “Jak and Daxter: Drift”?
It’s just finishing up it’s 24 page run!
And if you’re a fan of the Super Mario series, especially Bowser and Peach, Maybe check out my other Fan comic “Super Mario Bros.: The Candle” that has 3 chapters to read! Thanks for sticking around and I hope everyone here has a good day! :)

So alongside the Candle this last year I’ve been working on a personal project: Faeredoux. The long and the short is… I’ve always loved fairy tales ever since I was a kid. I grew up with both the more well known Disney adaptations, and lesser known and rip off adaptations that were more true to their origins. I own a lot of collections from Andrew Lang to Brother’s Grimm, and for a long time I’ve wanted to take my own spin on them. So I present to you Faeredoux’s first story: “The Thirteenth Hour”, an adaptation of Cinderella. “When Elouise is cursed as a child to attract bad luck that would seal her fate on the 13th anniversary of the incident she takes matters into her own hands and attempts to call her own fairy god mother to help her like in all the storybooks. Unfortunately for her she summons a demon instead…” I’ve been working on Faeredoux for about 5 years now and it’s good to finally have a chapter to show for it! I hope you enjoy the comic. Page one goes up on Wednesday November 25th and every Wednesday after that!
Kinda excited that this comic starts up regular updates on Nov 25th alongside The Candle resuming updates. It feels good that people can actually read the comics I've been putting so much work into, even if I'm not 100% satisfied with the quality of some of the pages in Candle 3 and Cinderella 1. Its like having a secret you want to tell bit can't yet!
Plans for Nov 2020
Okay gang I'm back from the dead a bit. I'm gonna out myself publicly so that I am more likely to stick to this plan I've got. 2019-2020 has been hell but I'm about ready to start updates again.
I've got 2 projects coming your way!
Project 1 is the return of The Candle continuing to the end of chapter 3 (Page 130) and Chapter 4 has already been storyboarded so I can get right into trying to stay ahead of the ball this time!
Project 2 is a passion project I've had on the burner for around 5 years of on and off production: "Faeredoux" What is Faeredoux? Just me throwing my own spin on some Fairy Tales in comic format! I've always loved Fairytales ever since I was a kid and a lot of the stories I've come up with over the years had some fairytale references in them here and there, and in middle school even made a spinoff of my old middle school comic that was an adaptation of the Little Mermaid. The First story in Faeredoux is "The Thirteenth Hour" an adaptation of Cinderella. I really hope you guys enjoy it even if your just here for Powser stuff!
My plan is to start updating again sometime this month, aiming for the week of Thanksgiving! My family is looking at moving in the near future though so that's a loose target.
I really want to thank all you my readers for their prolonged patience and support! Let's hope I can keep up this time ^_^'

I should never be allowed to spontaneously draw a drabble comic without a script and storyboards and 100 hours of practicing drawing the characters.
And 100 years wouldn’t have changed anything cuz he’d still be dead.
No lies, the more I think about the more Revali wasn’t wrong? Like… He said he doesn’t see why they need Link to defeat ganon and from thinking about the boss fight… he’s kinda right? You don’t need the master sword to beat the first phase, and then dark beast ganon is taken out with a goddamn bow? You know who woulda been good at that part? Revali. Mind you there was a lot more factors 100 years ago like a lot of functioning guardians, the blights taking out the champions, and that fighting ganon may have been different had he not had 100 years with Zelda to fester. But in a perfect world that assumes the fight would have gone as usual, Link really would have only needed to take out the first phase while Revali would have been far more suited for the second phase than even Link was.

You sneaky sneaky buggers… Enjoy the long heavy dramatic pause. This page bluescreened on my tablet twice now!
And you all got over 100 notes faster than I could do this while blue screening! I may have to increase the number to buy myself more time! How’s 130 sound for page 4? That’ll buy me like…. another 3 hours?

Better than the last page. At least I remembered his braids this time.
And also
Well played tumblr, well played. You got 100 notes! If you can pull it off again and give page 2 100 notes I’ll put up a third page of this asshole birb :3
FAN_COMIC_LOZ_BotW_Nevermind_01
I can’t draw that asshole birb.
Also I think I liked this better before the screen tones.

Just letting the world know why I dont get anything done.
He's been on my storyboards for 45 minutes...
HAPPY NEW YEAR (And rambling)
Howdy all! It's been a while, I haven't been bouncing up on social media as much lately. It feels like that bought of depression happened and the minute it was gone work picked up and people at my job quite etc.
So other than that what have I been up to? Mostly art still. Tried to up and quit several times under duress and stress but I keep coming back anyway. At least things will be a lot chiller for a bit (Maybe) with my job going into 'dead hours'.
BUT A COOL THING! I modded a fountain pen to use a Hunter dip pen nib!
No more dipping! ------------------------
I wish I had more art to show, but this year I've been working on a lot of comic projects ^^
One of which is, of course, the Candle. It's still getting worked on, but slower because of shared limited time with my other projects...
I mean... that and I got really burned out on it... and when I get burned out the quality drops really really bad...
And when the quality drops I don't get that juice back. It's like... I don't have fun doing ANYTHING, I have fun FINISHING things and then it converts that into energy to work on the next thing to completion. But when I don't feel like I completed something because it doesn't look decent then no energy return -_-. I'm not going to lie, I much prefer getting things done in hyper bulk so I wish I had stopped weekly updates after chapter 1 and then completely finished chapter two and three before returning again. It gives time for that break from creative burnout to recoup and by the time the pages need you again you've got the groove back or did something else and are ready to go again. In the meantime I have gotten pretty good practice at inking without pencils!
Yeah yeah this ain't a spoiler! You've all seen the chapter art, you knew they'd be here! God I love drawing them! The Candle will eventually return. Just... not until Chapter 3 is done on my end, which is a bit slow going because it's art priority #3. -------------------------
Art Priority #2 is my paid work commission comic I've been working on since around the summer! It's also slow going because it's done completely by hand with pen and paper! I can't say much about it because I promised not to spoil anything, but I did get Permission from my commissioner :iconLepouvoirduflan: to show off my favorite out of context panels XD! I love drawing Bowsers back~!
I'm really having fun working on this project with her! Familiar characters with a breath of fresh air, being a different plot from the Candle and all! Having more comics to do makes each one slower, but it keeps me from burning out without the weekly time limit and the constant change of scenery! ^_^ And Lepouvoirduflan has been helping me with Art Priority #1 as well! Speaking of that... ---------------------------
Art Priority #1 is a comic I've wanted to make for a long time, it even predates The Candle and I've been working on it more seriously for the last 5 years (It probably isn't 5 years worth of good but HEY my New Years resolution for 2020 is to be less critical of my work so I can get stuff done!) but it finally feels like it's gotten to a point that it's going to happen! A few bits of it have popped up here and there on DA and Tumblr but I think it's far enough along that I'm ready to talk about this passion project as I think it'll be coming out sometime this year! (Not that any of you are here for that, you're all here for Mario stuff! ^^')
This passion project is called Faeredoux, a combination of the word "Fae" and the french word "Redoux". Faeredoux is... basically the same stuff Disney does. I like the fairy tale, I take the fairy tale, I tell my own version of the fairy tale.
I had always been told "Write what you know" but I never felt like I knew really anything. That is until a friend said "....... Why don't you like... draw a comic about fairy tales? That time you told me about the frog Prince was hilarious! And the Nightingale and Cinderella! Those were cool ideas!" And that's when it hit me... I do really love fairy tales. I own the Grimm and Andrew Lang collection, among others, I loved those old bargain bin Disney rip offs that stayed closer to the original tale (I loved Encyclopedia Britanicas Beauty and the Beast especially!!!) and, I had a love hate relationship with a fandom I was in in 2010 for all it's fairy tale AUs that just copy paste the transcript to the Disney film.
I at least want to do the first 3 stories I had planned because they fell into place so well (And one is a revamp of itself from 2006 so an oldie!) The first one is what I've been working on a lot recently: "Faeredoux: Glass and Gold" (Name pending because I might have a better one in mind but haven't committed yet.)
Glass and Gold is the Story of Eloise Cendres, cursed by a fairy as a child to suffer 13 years of bad luck and, should she live that long, be destined to die on the anniversary of the thirteenth year... that is unless she marries the local prince (Fairies are weird). Now in these kinda of stories usually a maiden in need would get a knight in shining armor or a fairy god mother, but with none to be seen she chooses to summon her own! But wait! You don't "Summon" a fairy like that! Eloise unknowingly summons the demon Francine, who luckily has a bone to pick with a certain fairy. Together can they get Eloise to a happily ever after? Or when the clock strikes midnight will her world come crumbling down?
------------------------------
I guess that's really all I have except some art (Not much) that I've done... but I don't have a scanner at the moment so I guess photos it'll be? Sometime tomorrow or now-ish? I dunno. Typing all this sounded like a better idea when I started. Maybe I should just go play some more Digimon World... or use my badass custom pen...
THERE I SAID IT
I already said something like this on my patreon but I'mma say it here too. My days of consistently updating comics on a strict schedule are over. I really really liked having a schedule and my own self imposed deadlines and this level of glee when meeting said deadlines and having pages scheduled to upload but doing so has been stressful. I've said this in the past but since I brought The Candle back from the dead and it returned on June 15th 2017 I have been working on it like it's a second job, Prioritizing working on it over other things and with a mindset of "If I work extra hard NOW then I don't have to work as hard LATER!" And for the most part I'm just tired. I literally just want to lay on my back on the porch and give the middle finger to hawks that fly over hear thinking my chicken are an easy meal. This isn't me popping in to say I'm not working on The Candle or other comics anymore, (on the contrary I get antsy when not working on a comic project) just that I can't keep up with that kind of schedule in my daily life anymore. Basically the summary of this is that Weekly updates aren't going to happen anymore, pages are just going to pop up when they're available. I really wanted to have CHapter 3 of the Candle inked before going back to updates, but I just don't have the juice to keep up anymore. Pages will probably be popping up here and there in the near future. But until then I'm gonna go lay on the porch and flip off hawks.
