Donald Trump is not a great president for the United States.

But due to his immense popularity, those who support him act like it’s legal to harass anyone who is against him.

Those who speak out against Trump are ridiculed, harassed, humiliated, and even killed; in other words, they’re treated as if speaking out against him is against the law, a crime punishable by the worst punishment possible.

This is where I come in. This is where this flag comes in. You may think it’s laughable that I’m using the flag of a fictional video game faction, but there’s a deeper meaning behind this.

California is often a target for pro-Trump bullies, both those who show up in person and those who hide behind an internet keyboard. Trump and his followers always treat California as a laughingstock. So, this is my way of showing that their hatred is inadvertently making California stronger to defy their views.

In Fallout, the New California Republic, despite its many flaws, promises democracy, liberty, and the rule of law; these are traits that Trump had failed to promise during his 2016-2020 run as POTUS. In both real life and the Fallout games, minorities are shown little discrimination, while other locations across the US treat minorities as undeserving outcasts. California’s state border doesn’t just separate itself from other states; it also separates itself from people who don’t trust their perspectives.

This is where I come in. This is where this flag comes in.

This is my way of showing defiance.
