Velvet and Veneer headcanons!
☆ Velvet lets Veneer drive every time they go somewhere just so she can lay back, but because she doesn't have her driving license yet. (And the scene where she grabbed the wheel and drove off of the road proved why.)
☆ They have only a few cotton items they tried purely because they looked interesting. They use it only at home to get comfortable, but Velvet very often stole Veneer's sweaters. In exchange Veneer stole some of her accessories.
☆ It's more of an obvious one, but while they have zero talent in singing, they do have amazing talent for choreos and improvising. They improvised a whole show, going as far as to literally drive off into the nothing and land on their yacht to continue the show. And there, with their ability of improvising and cooperating, Veneer helped Velvet out when she was jumped by the trolls (grabbing her hands and literally doing a backflip with her that shook off the trolls).
☆ Velvet often needs help with putting on her clothes, because they can get quite complex. They have people to help with their clothes, but she will always call Veneer for help. She said it's so she can boss him around more, but in truth he's the only one she trusts. Speaking of trust.
☆ Velvet has HEAVY trust issues. Therefore, it makes sense why she only trusts Veneer with everything. That is also why when Crimp proved to be smarter than she thought, Velvet locked her in the closet for a long time.
☆ Veneer always hid behind Velvet when something came up. And she would always protect him despite being heavily annoyed by his scaredness. But if someone insulted Velvet, Veneer was ready to throw hands too.
☆ For a really long time they had to share a bed as kids. It was because the parents expected one child to be born, then they came as twins. But there was never really enough time to buy them enough separate things, so they shared almost everything until they finally got a twin bed. Velvet always slept on top, even if the parents already said that they should change spots every once in a while. But Veneer didn't dare to go against his sister despite having the parents' approval.
☆ In school they were both inseparable and insufferable. Since Velvet had an extremely hard time making friends due to her being a bit toxic, other than the trust issues, Veneer was simply too shy and awkward to make friends. So it made sense they were together almost all the time.
☆ Velvet tested her makeup skills on Veneer all the time as kids, as well as painted his nails a lot. And while always refusing at first, in truth, Veneer loved it, because he felt pretty every time.
☆ They tried ballet at some point but found it boring and left the classes.
