I love any headcanon about Velvet and Veneer that involves them having the same habit. They are twins, it's obvious there are things they do the same way despite being completely different in nature. Many people forget this fact and make them two completely different people with almost zero similarities other than being evil jerks.
I feel like neither of the twins can pick up romantic advances. As smart as Velvet is, unless it's spelled out, she is not picking them up. Meanwhile Veneer is just blissfully oblivious.
Velvet would view flirting as mocking and get offended, meanwhile Veneer would take every said word in a friendly manner. But they will realize at some point (and feel incredibly stupid for not seeing it sooner).
Velvet would HATE me if I could meet her. I'm a professional in ragebaiting, and I'd drive her nuts. I, in fact, would gang up with Veneer against her. My relationship with her would be a love-hate type of thing, while she'd just hate me.
I love my girl Velvet.

Between Velvet and Veneer, Veneer would definitely be the one to marry first.
In my opinion (or one of my HCs lol) he’d be the one to say yes the first time the question is popped. Velvet on the other hand will take a few tries until she actually says yes. That’s because she swore marriage was for dummies and she’d never get tied down to some loser…. But deep, deep, deep down inside was a little girl wanting that fairy tale. She’s just to proud to admit it which is why she continues to say no when the question is popped.
Vivian would be so happy once her babies finally marry. Vaughn is Vaughn and goes to automatic dad mode lol. But as long as they see the person they’re marrying treats them right and loves them, that’s an automatic approval.

And I'm so happy our views on the twins are similar because in my Aftermath AU, Veneer gets married first and also rather fast, while Velvet's relationship progresses really slow (but in a good way since my girl Orchid knows Vels needs time). She wants to take things really slow and freaks out over the idea of marriage even if she has been dating Orchid since forever.

i am "the friend that's too woke" and i don't care. the visceral hatred towards Velvet in the trolls fandom is 100% rooted in misogyny.
you don't have to like her, but there's definitely something a little weird going on if you demonize her and baby Veneer and act like he was physically forced to do bad things by his super duper evil sister.
this happens EVERY time a female+male duo comes out in fiction (especially if they're both villains) and it's actually ridiculous. stop infantilizing male villains while demonizing the female ones. just because Veneer had a redemption arc, doesn't mean he was abused by his sister. y'all are ridiculous.
The whole point of their relationship is that Veneer did everything WILLINGLY and didn't feel bad until it was too late. And even so he only confessed their crimes once he knew there is no coming out of that situation. I'm a 100% sure Veneer wouldn't tell on themselves if the concert would have been a sucsess and they could be swimming in money. Sure, he'd feel bad, but remember, he was willing to sing the encore too if only they had the chance.
I like to desribe Veneer as bad and Velvet as worse, because sure, Velvet was the more terrible one here, but Veneer was also BAD and nowhere near good. HE was the one who held Floyd above the toilet ready to flush him.
I love Veneer, he's my fav, but I also recognise the fact he was a horrible person too, with the only difference that he was also willing to change. Veneer fans should be just as ready to tell on his crap just as when it comes to Vels.
Aftermath AU—casual headcanons!
This is a comfort AU that I created and is still in the works. It's basically the aftermath of the movie, and the AU focuses on Ritzneer and Velchid the most.
It won't really have a full story made about it on Wattpad, unlike the other AUs I planned, but I will be making art, HCs, and small oneshots.
• Veneer lost a tooth in prison because of a fight that broke out. An inmate punched him in the face with a tray, which then resulted Velvet stepping in.
• Velvet was filled with rage and betrayal in her prison time. So she resulted in punching the wall as a way to take out her anger, and then later on she used a punching bag at home. Despite the fact she was angry because of Veneer, Velvet never hit him. She couldn't bring herself to do so.
• They were sentenced for 29 years, which is still ridiculously low considering how they treated the trolls, but Floyd managed to bring it down to 9 years, deleting the 20 years they got for the troll-related stuff.
They were 17 when they got into prison, then got out at 26.
• Veneer dated Ritz for only a year before marrying him, while Velvet and Orchid's relationship is more slow-burn based.
• When the twins were kids, they often looked at fashion magazines. Velvet dreamed about being in them, while Veneer dreamed about creating the fashion shown in them.
• Veneer became a fashion designer and Velvet became his model. He got the more peaceful work he dreamed about while Velvet could have the spotlight in the clothes Veneer made. It became a perfectly balanced life and work for them.
Veneer did like the fame and the concerts, and he would have been content with going down that path, but he still prefers his current life over anything else.
• Velvet has been going to therapy since the talks she had with Veneer opened her eyes to her unhealthy behavior. She desired to be better, so she was willing to deal with her worst nightmare—listening to someone, aka her therapist.
• Since rageons easily freeze in cold weather due to them being made out of vinyl, they never went outside of the city during winter (being above the clouds, they can't experience winter). But Mount Rageous opened its first ice rink that is safe for rageons, so Veneer quickly brought Ritz there with him all the time. Velvet and Orchid also joined later.
This man really put a condom on his head and called it a stylish choice.

☆ Branch was not approving at ALL. He didn't trust Veneer enough to know he's not a danger anymore, even if Floyd kept saying otherwise. He eventually gave in only if he could tag along to ensure his brother's safety.
☆ Veneer felt obligated to treat Floyd in the best way possible. And it was also a good image since it showed the rageons that he truly had a change of heart.
☆ Veneer wears shirts with pockets so Floyd can travel inside them. Floyd often refuses, saying he doesn't need extra help, but Veneer insists.
☆ Floyd taught Veneer how to cook. At the very least what Velvet was able to make is edible, while Veneer's cooking is usually a biohazard. So Floyd patiently taught him how to make a decent meal.
☆ If the whole Brozone tags along, they often play card games, where Velvet also joins. There is almost never a winner because they argue so much in the end that Velvet, just like as a kid, would flip the table. Despite being more soft-spoken, neither Veneer nor Floyd holds back in those arguments.
☆ Floyd often invites Veneer outside of Mount Rageous so they can hang out. But the thing is that rageons very rarely leave the city, only if there is a good reason. So Veneer was incredibly hesitant, but since Floyd always made his way to him for a visit, it was only fair if he did the same.
☆ Rageons don't really go outside of their city because they are more vulnerable out there. Especially in the cold. So Veneer was devastated that Floyd wanted to go to a snowy place.
☆ It was Veneer's first time ever seeing snow in real life. Sure, he knew about different weathers, but because he lives on the literal clouds, he never experienced the annoying part of it. Like rain or heavy wind. Rageons also avoid freezing places because their bodies, being made out of plastic, can freeze easily. But Veneer didn't want to refuse because he wanted to cater to Floyd as much as possible.
☆ Dressed up for the weather, he was able to be outside for a few hours before it could end up bad. Floyd taught him how to skate, and of course, Veneer immediately began to show off by recreating choreos on ice. But when Veneer started to feel the cold seep into him, they went to a café and drank hot chocolate.
☆ Overall, they became really close friends. Not only that, but they can also talk to each other when there are sibling problems.

☆ After prison they have to both earn money in some way and get the people to like them again. Therefore, they were looking for jobs, anything at this point, but they always got rejected. Velvet was furious and losing her mind, while Veneer found a small poster with a phone number on it. It was a babysitting job offer with a low payment and big requirements, but he still wanted to try it even if Velvet was straight against it.
☆ When they met the single parent he was really hesitant about the two of them because of their criminal history. But figuring they didn't harm rageons but trolls, and the man was out of options, he agreed.
☆ There was no way in hell that Velvet would babysit you, she agreed to do the side tasks even if she was heavily against it. While Veneer tried his absolute best. But you were suicidal in the most clueless way possible.
☆ Fire, electricity, and high places seemed to be your favorite places to approach. Not even mentioning the amount of inedible products you desired to consume. Velvet was managing while Veneer felt like he was the single father.
☆ "Can you just stop running into death every time??" Oh, he was so about to lose it. But he couldn't, they needed the money and there was no way he'd harm you or let you be harmed. Velvet also helped sometimes. But only when you were cute and calm. The moment you cried she left you to Veneer without a second thought.
☆ You must have had a special power because disappearing in mere seconds was something you did so well that Veneer tied you to a chair. Guess you had surprisingly sharp teeth too.
☆ "Alright. How long is this hellhole going to last?" Velvet was scrolling through her phone, still grieving the fact she got cancelled on Twitter. If not for the crimes it would have happened anyway for many other reasons. "An hour more. And this was a hellhole for me you were literally just doing small chores while being on your phone!"
"Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I did the same amount of work as you, I just handled it better."

☆ The father came home, exhausted as ever. But he was surprised to see the house intact, other than two broken plates. But he didn't even make them pay because he knew he gave too many work for little payment. And you were completely unharmed! But the same can't be said for the two twins. "Oh God thank you, thank you so much. The two of you did a fantastic job. Is it possible to hire the two of you again?"
☆ Velvet and Veneer were surprised, but they were a bit glad there would be a somewhat providing job for a temporary time. And you were more tolerable each time! You even learned Velvet's name, then Veneer's, which Velvet of course loved to brag about.
