Roomy Feng Shui Recommendations

When using the principles of feng shui in your kid's room you are enabled to enhance imagination, learning ability, and confidence of your kid. As a rule your kid’s room combines a bedroom for sleeping, studying, and playing. Be sure to clear up the space in the room from any kind of clutter and help your child decide which clothes, books, toys, and stuffed animals to give away or store. Explain that cleaning out from unused things frees space for new things.

Besides, here are several typical issues for harmonization of the kid’s room:

Light up: There should be no dark areas in the room. Be sure to let plenty of sunlight and use full-spectrum bulbs.

Show the sky: If the ceiling in the room is oppressively low, paint into a light blue color with white fluffy clouds so that it looks like sky - in such a way you will stimulate your child to dream and be imaginative.

Clear space: In a small room there should be no heavy wardrobes and other large pieces of furniture - they create stagnant energy.

Clear the air: There should be nothing hanging above your child's head. All the mobiles, flying animals and shelves frighten kids at night.

Hidden storage: To organize your kid’s things use cozy chests, closets, and bookcases and a round bin to store stuffed animals and toys.

Art Wall: There should be positive artworks on the walls, including masterpieces that your kid created himself!

Color: The best colors are light pastels of green, blue, beige, pink, peach, lavender, cream, and tan. To soothe an overly active child - use shades of blue. To motivate a quiet child, add some accents in yellow, red, and orange.

Sleep: If there is a desk with computer is in the bedroom - it should be covered somehow to hide work materials when kids go to sleep to create a calm night's sleep.

Start a tradition of cleaning out kid’s room the week before a big day (before their birthday, when a new studying year starts, before New Year). To enliven the experience, dance, laugh, listen to music, and play throughout the cleaning process. Make it a celebration.

Find Your Child’s Birth Element

Your Feng Shui birth element is related to your Chinese birth year (different date range to Western years). My daughter was born in the year of the Tiger and has a birth element of Metal (also my own birth element). Use this chart from The Spruce to discover your child’s birth element.

Your child’s birth element is the perfect way to personalize their room’s color scheme with decorative accents such as picture frames, decorative pillows or curtains. This can cause problems with shared rooms, something that’s not recommended for good Feng Shui, however, dividing the room with something like a rug can help. Match the birth element with a corresponding palette:

Wood: Green and brown.

Fire: Red, yellow, orange, pink, and purple.

Earth: Beige/pale yellow, browns.

Metal: White and grey.

Water: Blue and black.

Room Night Light Rainbow for Nursery

Kids love rainbow. It is bright, multicolor and magic! You can make them happy by presenting them a rainbow of their own!

When seeing it kids are sure to be enchanted. This product is magic.  You press a button and you can project a rainbow on any wall or ceiling–or some little tummy.  It takes four AAA batteries.  The projector will make a rainbow and it turns itself off after 10 minutes, so if you leave it on at night, it won’t stay on the whole times.

Harmonizing Feng Shui Rules For Kids' Rooms

Young parents can use feng shui in kids' room to make it a cozy space for sleep, happiness and harmony. For example, hang a framed photo of the family in kid’s room to provide a calming energy. With the below easy tips you can arrange the environment in the kid’s room for a favorable flow of energy.

Bed placement

The perfect spot for a bed is such one from where the kid can see the door with the headboard against the far wall. Do not place the bed exactly in front of the door, but diagonal from the door, is typically the most ideal position.This way the child is in command of his room. In addition, the bed should not be directly under a window.

Kid’s room colors

Kid’s room should be balanced with with yin and yang energy, in other words it should not be too dark or too bright and be in harmony with the child's personal taste. Walls should not be painted bright (neon bright, or busy wallpaper) as these colors overstimulate the child and disrupt her/his sleep. Choose pastel blues, greens or pinks to create a calming atmosphere and soothe in the feng shui world.

Feng shui to stimulate self-confidence

Place a full-length mirror, which is huge at kid’s eye level, in kid’s room to stimulate his/her self-confidence. If the mirror is too high, they will feel like they can never measure up. In addition, fill the room with images that uplift and support kids. That is not a picture of a teen pop star, but your child's best artwork proudly displayed in a frame or a photograph that represents a special moment with loved ones will be much more comforting and supportive.

Why disorder is harmful for your child

Make sure that your kids put their toys away at the end of the day as being surrounded by a messy playground is not favorable to a peaceful sleep and doing homework. Lately, it has become a stylish tendency to make a kid’s bedroom look like a an explosion of cartoons. Why it is not so good? Because such coloring and decorations stimulate kid’s activities and work harmful for kid’s rest.

As far as a kid’s room is his place for studies and for sleep, but not only for moving activities the space in it should be colored and furnished in such a way so that a kid could have a nourishing sleep - he main constituent of a child’s health and overall well being.

If a child is of school age, he or she is not likely to have productive studying in a bright room like this either.

Of course the room should look fun and pretty but colors might be toned down to some predominantly warm fleshy and earthy tones, perhaps accented with some toys.

And, when choosing themes and patterns choose something like teddy bears, turtles, boats, flowers, or trees – rather than active choices such as bright vehicles, action characters, or pop stars.

Mushroom Shaped Ionizer Air Purifier

This lovely mushroom lamp combines in itself an air purifier and a night light for kids.
