Armie Hammer and Marilyn Manson don't fit into the "cancelled" conversation. They are real, terrifying, disgusting, abusive assholes that have to pay for the crimes they did. Saying they are cancelled minimizes the gravity of the situation. They should be in prison.

I liked Marilyn Manson back in highschool when I was like 17. So, I bought his autobigoraphy, and after I read it, I remember being turned off by him, entirely. He's always been proud of the pain he's afflicted on women, even his own mom.

Marilyn Manson is a form of rich, white, male privilege, that's rarely talked about because he's always stood for the kids who are "different". Alot of the time, white people who are alternative, use the fact that their style is different, to treat people like shit. Marilyn Manson's character was always against the "jock" and Suburban America, against how religion abuses people. Meanwhile he's just a different version of the toxic white man and because of suburban america he had a loving home and supportive parents.

In his autobiography he talked about how they would tie girls up backstage and alot of the time they were crying and asking to leave, he even threw his girlfriend at the time's dog against a wall. It's also not surprising that Dita Von Teese a woman close to his age and was sure of herself would leave him. Than, knowing he lacked control and dominance over the last woman in his life, he'd groom a teenage girl in the process, make her dress like the past women in his life and take out his deeper insecurity that's Brian Warner and not "Marilyn Manson" on her, abusing her for his own ego, and than move on to abuse more woman.

Marilyn Manson's whole "beyond human, anti-christ" persona is just his overt narcissism. He's plays the male version of "I'm not like other girls", but it's no longer 1996 and now people aren't impressed by basic white men, dressed as the anti-christ. Now powerful, rich men get held accountable for their shitty behavior. He's posted for BLM, but never apologized or confronted the lyrics in some of the songs on his "portrait of an american family" album, where he says the N- word alot, knowing 99% of the listeners are white .. Have fun in jail, Brian. 🤗

not 2 sound whiny but i wish more attention was given to the importance of art and literature and philosophy and other humanities again so they'll return to being a really great part of what shapes a decade or an era instead of being seen as useless because they don't fit into the capitalist ideal of a productive society
