Sting Poster - WCW Magazine #25 [March 1997]

Even though this was during the period where Sting lurked in the rafters, I still enjoy creating this look in the video games as my primary CAW champion. He was completely ripping off Brandon Lee’s look in The Crow with this design, but who cares! The character was awesome and having Sting go through fourteen months without having an official match in WCW is the kind of build-up that was completely unheard of but paid off well for the company.

However, if the Macho Man look falls through, I guess I could always go with this one.

After the show I was getting some positive reinforcement from a few folks that I knew were part of the scene. Cornell came up to me, and he just happened to be standing under a black light. He was talking to me, and his eyes and his teeth were glowing – he absolutely looked like Satan. He was saying he thought it was great and he was happy for Jeff and Stone… and this felt like a good thing. ….but to hear it from Satan at the same time, it left a really strong impression.
