Final/Resubmission - Elements

The elements project has been updated with more frames for smoother animation. In previous concepts it shows Elfeo coloured, but it was suggested that the aesthetic of the animation gave early 1920s animation style. I liked this idea and decided to go for a monochrome appearance with an old feel to the project.

I think that the pollen should have more frames added but I also didn’t want it to move to slow as pollen has a way of moving in the air that is quite erratic.

Final/ Resubmission - 2 Min Film

The 2 minute film is now coloured and I’m really happy with the results! I decided to change the outline back to red, blue and green for the characters, originally these were just used for rough animation but once I changed it black it was too bold and made the characters look separate from the environment. I think it works well.

The decided not to use shading as well since it didn’t seem necessary, overall I’m happy with the results.

The sound was composed by Rita Gonćalves.

Resubmission/Final - The colour me project is updated with colour now as well as some character’s designs. Russet was used as the colour for the character while blue was used for the background, lastly amber was used for the situation.

Production Bible - Part 2 Resubmission

The concept art shows the first original designs of angus and ziru, who had different names back then. Also the official names of their daughters are Zahra and Aida, who are also shown with their initial sketches.

The storyboard with the new future is also added with different attire designs for the older angus and ziru, so that the red and blue can be more prominent and oppose one another.

Production Bible - Part 1 Resubmisson

The updated production bible now has the contents page and the future character designs as well as the updated storyboards of the future. Some of the description is outdated as the story treatment and teaser mentions how they’re rivalry makes them competitive as teachers which later changed, as we wanted the story to depict a playful rivalry that turns into a loving relationship.
