         The instant that she peered to him, he’d shift his gaze across the street. He just needed to rest for a bit, and then he could head out. Just wanted the place to himself ( even if the city didn’t allow for such alone time ). Pulling out a cigarette, he’d light it and hope she’d go away. The less he had to talk to the stranger, the better.

  Trying to be discreet, she’d lift a hand to fan the smoke out of her face and keep her mouth half covered to stop the cough rising in her throat. Furrowing her eyebrows, Cerise would look down towards her book and then back up.

Did she not see that he was the source of the entire blackout? Maybe she just caught the tail-end of it… in fact, being indoors would probably be the safest place for him regarding the output. Less atmospheric pressure there is, the better it’ll be for his explosive energy. It did, however, make him a bit wary that she was just so casually opening up to a stranger like this; even going so far to invite him into her home? Regardless of that, his human guise adjusted itself– feeling his horns sink back into his forehead and using the length of his sleeves to hide his scales from sight. Better than nothing, he guessed. It didn’t take him long to get up to her level, veering his gaze from door to door till he had found the exact one that matched her balcony level– with a few knocks, he cleared his throat and released a small, hoarse. ‘ You there? ‘

Seeing him move towards her building the girl slammed her window shut ( with a flinch ) and moved to sit on her couch while she waited. Despite staring at the door, awaiting his arrival, she still jumped when the knocks ran through her apartment. Jumping to her feet she ran to the door and opened it.

And she looked up .... and up again. And finally she could see his face. A laugh left her lips as she stepped to the side, pulling her door open further, “ Hello, come in! ” Closing the door behind him, Cerise stretched out an arm in the direction of her sofa “ please, sit. what were you doing outside? ”
