“Frog”
For those who don’t know the story…The kids were catching a frog in a children’s pool, and my son managed to catch it. We just wanted to observe it for a few minutes — maybe 10. But other parents started shouting that he had to release it immediately. One woman became especially aggressive — she grabbed the container with the frog from his hands and threw it into the bushes. It was an unpleasant moment, the children were upset. Later, we talked a lot about it — about respect, boundaries, and not assuming things about others. So we decided to keep this moment in a different way.I painted this frog for him. He looked at it and said:
“Mom, this is your best painting.”
So here it is — my best painting.

He's worried about stepping on flowers. He loves nature.
We’re so tiny and insignificant compared to what’s up there
Sometimes you gotta go with the flow of life. It’s hard for me, but at times, you have no other choice.

if i'm procrastinating on my homework by doing some outside-of-class reading, does that really count as being unproductive? last year i started trying to read more and so far i've been sticking to that goal in 2025.
today i finished the beautiful and damned - i'm not f. scott fitzgerald's number one fan, but his books contain some of my absolute favorite prose.

pretty sure i only have one study strategy, but it's served me well for years now so i'll just keep doing what i've been doing.
it's been another cold week – my dorm is perpetually just a little too chilly – but i'll take any opportunity to layer up in all my warmest, coziest sweaters.
everything you love is fading away before your eyes; come to me and know that i am here, a solid color against the faded memories, you are safe here. mimic loves you.
studying at home & studying at my favourite café.

Sorry I haven’t posted in minute. These past couple months have had some big life changes that I’ve been occupied by. But anyway, here’s my weekly journal spread!
