first of all, the point of Ranma 1/2 is to blur gender lines. ranma isnât meant to be a woman because that isnât the point of his character. the joke is that no matter how much the other characters try to put him in a box, he breaks it. he is undeniably meant to be a gender ambiguous character

need i mention that ranma ALWAYS refers to himself as masculine? in english and japanese. you will never catch him saying heâs a girl when in his right mind.
