Part 1.
I have been on quite the journey over the past year. The holidays seem to have always been a time where we reflect back on what the year has brought us, what we’ve experienced, what we’ve learned, how we’ve changed. I feel like I take pause during November and December and sort of hibernate (figuratively) and ruminate on what my life is, and what I want it to hopefully become.
I’m EXCELLENT at making plans. I don’t know if it comes as a coping mechanism from being raised in a single parent home, preparing for the worst or something like that. Or if it is just how I’m wired. I think the holidays come for me like a time to create a plan for how the year will go. I don’t map things out month by month like a robot, but I envision what I hope to see and what I hope to become over the next year. I like to think about the things I want to accomplish by my birthday, stuff like that.
Lately my life has been caught in a rhythm of work >> rest >> repeat~. The resting comes easy because the hustle of working is so draining. When I do something I do it full out, I don’t go halfway and I finish what I start.
I’m starting a lifestyle blog so that I can put my thoughts into words more frequently. Some of the topics I hope to cover in some way....
Singleness. Self explanatory right?
Whole 30 and weight loss.
Church.
Work life balance.
Anxiety and depression.
Art. Music. Etc.
Here goes nothing! Thank you for taking the time to read my silly thoughts, I hope you enjoy!
