open starter : scenario - we're an absolute power couple, i'm so charming that i get you in the right rooms and you provide me the cushy lifestyle i've always dreamed of, so what we're toxic as hell ( muse - katherine ryker kitty delacroix, 34, socialite, open to: M/NB )

— SHE KNOWS HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE HER. It’s brilliance, really. Their entire relationship, the hot heated embraces, the passionate words storming out of their mouths like soldiers in a war. They’re chaotic, boiling with fire and brimstone. She knows he would never leave her because people like them belonged together.

Romance in the public eye was always a recipe for disaster but Kitty was a narcissist by nature and a con artist in spirit; all of her efforts went into up keeping her reputation. She had worked hard to get herself here. Growing up with dirt caked under her nails and the sun shrinking freckles upon her nose, it hadn’t been easy to weasel her way out of her family’s tiny farm in god knows where to the bustling streets of the big city. But Kitty had done it with a tilted smile and a seductive mouth.

“You’re going to be a good boy tonight, aren’t you?” 

Her voice is bitingly soft, looking at him in the reflection of the mirror as she fixed her hair. “I’m going to play the part of your beautiful, loving wife, and you’re going to try your best not to fuck things up.” The words fell staccato from her lips as she finally focussed her attention of him, narrowed gaze and pursued lips. 

“Let’s not have a repeat of last time when your eyes were glued to someone’s tits; I’m not in the mood to have to deal with the rumours that’ll come swirling around afterwards. You’re a royal piece of shit but not everyone needs to know it, isn’t that right, darling?”

open starter : scenario - we’ve been having an affair but i’m crazy and killed your husband and maybe you’re into it? maybe not? ( muse - celeste sainz, 30, jewels dealer, open to: F )

— CELESTE NEVER HAD LUCK WITH LOVE. She never felt like she was cut out for it. So when the man, the other woman’s husband, fell dead at Celeste’s feet, his blood turning pink in the shower as it swirled around them, a flower of joy blossomed within her, snaking out from the confines of her ribcage. When Celeste had lifted her eyes from her bloodstained hands, her lover was right in front of her.

A hint of a smile crept into her expression as she stood in front of the other woman, skin freckled with vermillion as she shrugged her own dress off her shoulders, letting it pool around her feet. Her pulse was still jolting out of her neck, electricity coursing up and down her spine.

“I did it for you.” 

There’s hesitation in her voice as she steps forward, the warmth of the shower sinking into her pores. She wants to be confident, as she is with every other aspect of her life, that this thing called love really was for her. 

"We can be together now."

open starter : scenario - i'm a con artist - a damn good one at that - and my employer sent me to you to dig up intel on whatever shady things you are up to but oh wait, you're doing the same to me and also why am i starting to care about you?? ( muse - althea chiu fallon carter, 29, con artist/hacker, open to: M/F/NB )

— SHE SWIVELS AROUND WHEN SHE FEELS THEIR HANDS ON HER WAIST. "Hi baby, I didn't even hear you come in." She smiles against their lips. Lie. She knew they would be home at promptly 6:34 because that's how long it takes to drive from the 'office' to home. The tracker she placed in their car helped with her estimate too.

"I'm just making dinner– your favourite," she murmurs as she pulls away, turning her attention back to the cutting board, "Be a doll and pass me that cloth from behind you." She nods her head to the counter behind them and she glides past to check on the oven.

It's all began to feel so routine. Not necessarily in a bad way. She's been on this mission for almost six months and she's done her part to ease her way into their life. From their 'chance' meeting to whirlwind romance, they had a picture-perfect relationship. Not even three months in did he ask her to move in with him. She had acted coy, saying she needed to think about it but it had taken all of six hours to pack a box of cherished items (that she had bought in the thrift store just weeks before) and donate her furniture (picked up from a liquidation sale when she moved in). She had met his friends and thanks to her intel from her employer, was able to say just the right things to get into all of their good graces. Everything about their relationship was perfect- other than the fact it was all based on a lie.

"How was work?" she asks now, turning to look at them.

ˏˋ°•⁀➷♡¸.•’ tiktok sounds play on an endless loop while the femme is scrolling her phone in a desperate search for entertainment, unable to admit even to herself that she's waiting a text from her. nala. her situationship she was obsessed with in the worst way. waiting pays off, and buzzing accompanies the notification at the top of her screen. humiliating smile that forms on her face is quickly replaced with confusion upon reading the text. then the second one comes, and brows are knitting together in annoyance. never one to hold her tongue, the brunette taps back immediately.

GIANNA: i think it's cute that it's so hard to get me out of your head that you texted the wrong person after "last night" GIANNA: were you thinking about me then too 😋

There wasn't really a last night. She had gone out with a couple of friends and after a number of questionable decisions (maybe a kiss at the bar?- it's a bit of a blur) and a dose of sheer willpower, she made it back (barely) into her bed -drunk and most importantly, alone. And how much effort it took to not send Gianna that kind of 2am text.

As she read Gianna's response, she couldn't help but let out a snort. She typed quickly, her fingers dancing over the screen.

He’s at the party with a redhead whose name he can barely remember. Jenna? Jenny? It’s something along the lines of that. She’s all bright eyes and overfilled smiles because he’s finally taking her to meet his friends. In reality, he needed something to drag along on his arm and she was pretty enough.

Now he’s in the kitchen, cracking open a beer and she’s chatting off someone’s ear in the living room. As long as she’s occupying someone else, he’s free for the time being. Walking into the kitchen, he pauses to take a swig and mutter, "Worst fuckin’ party I’ve ever been to."

With that text, she tossed her phone on the bed beside her. When she heard a ping, she bit back a growing smile before picking it up to read their reply.

open starter : scenario - i've been haunting this house for decades and i'm generally a grumpy ghost who likes to drive tenants away but something about you has me hooked idk help ( muse - silas smalls, 35, rockstar open to: F )

“I’M DEAD. HOW IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?” His question hangs in the air for a second before dying. He’s reclining in the chair, indignation sprawled across his features.

He had passed in the seventies, the roaring seventies as they were now affectionally known as, in this very house— a drug overdose. He never liked to get into the nitty-gritty details of it but the rawest explanation was that the drinking, the drugs, it just covered up his multiple stab wounds from insecurities and the desperate, desperate desire to feel alive. Ironic, considering that now he was dead, he had never felt more alive.

People came and went through the house ever so quickly and he wouldn’t deny he had some say in it. When he wanted them to leave, all it took was a bit of spooking; if humans were good for something, it would be their ability to allow their imagination to take over.

But she, she was different. He saw a multitude of women in his time, both dead and alive, but she was something resembling an ethereal being, one he couldn’t help but be enchanted by.

“What’s wrong? I’m sure you’ve watched enough films by now to grasp the concept of a ghost.”
