I made the stupid mistake of discussing Palestine and Israel with my family, again. I thought I’d have learned this by now, but No, I just had to bring up the subject with the people I know couldn’t care less about it!

They are biased as heck against information that doesn’t come from our local media when our reporters have never been in Gaza for all I know! And I don’t blame them for it because IOF has killed hundreds of journalists that have entered Gaza or West Bank since before and after Oct 7. Only Al Jazeera has been brave enough to continue covering the events of the genocide.

Speaking of Al Jazeera, I couldn’t believe what they said about the news-organization after I said that I would rather get my news from them than my local media outlets. If you have read my previous posts, which you probably haven’t, you know that I have stated that my country’s news-organizations are biased towards Israel and against Palestine. They had the gall to say that I’m biased towards Palestine because I listen to Al Jazeera for information about the conflict and worst of all is that they seem to believe the lie of them being a terrorist organization. I am afraid what they would say if I told them that I get my information from social media too. Also, I get my info from Middle East eye and TRT world too, so I don’t just watch AJ.

What I hated the most about this was that I was unable to keep my head cool and got angry. You can’t get someone to listen to you if you yell at them. I wouldn’t. Maybe if I had been calm enough then maybe they would have listened to me. Or maybe not, that I will never know.
