KILLER ANGELS IS ON INDEFINITE HIATUS This announcement should be expected, but even so, it saddens me considerably to make it. After a three month run, due to various circumstances, I’ve made the decision to put Killer Angels on an indefinite hiatus.  This roleplay definitely didn’t last as long as I wanted it to, nor did it even approach its full potential: but as the dash slows and players grow increasingly inactive, I thought that there was little point in continually instating new events and plot drops without the roles and activity to support them. Sometimes, roleplays have the ideal combination of dedicated players, passion, and muse from the get-go, and they are able to take off immediately and remain strong, but unfortunately, one factor of many caused the dash here at Killer Angels to never quite pick up again after opening week. That’s not to say that there aren’t many talented and wonderful players here (on the contrary!), but that either the players’ personal schedules or lack of muse have caused us to continually hit roadblocks that seem nearly impossible to get over. I’ve thought this over for weeks, and at this time and place, I believe that the best choice is to put this roleplay on hold, perhaps with a future return in mind, perhaps not.  In any case, thank you all for your support, kind words, and interest in the roleplay from it’s release in February to now, October 2015. It’s been a great journey, and what I gained during the adminning process was worth every minute of time and work put into the roleplay’s creation. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the writing and plotting that occurred on the dash in these past months, and only wish that I could have seen more! It’s with a heavy heart that I wish all players the absolute best, and hope that someday, we’ll meet again. You’re all fantastic writers and people, and I’m sincerely grateful that you decided to apply and spend time here. This roleplay has invaded my mind...every time I see a picture of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp being all coupley my brain thinks of Kitty and Alfonso and I'm weirded out for a split second.

Of course! I totally understand, and I'm sorry I forgot to mention the character I'm interested in having Nina portray! How do you feel about her for Gloria? Totally fine if she doesn't fit your view of her; I adore the character regardless of her FC! Thanks!

Yes, she would work well, if you were planning on using Katherine!Nina gifs. Out of all the characters, Gloria is one of the best fits for a Nina faceclaim, so I’m glad that she was open for you. I just want to make sure that you love the role itself equally as much as the faceclaim --- if you can bring dedication and activity to the table, a faceclaim switch is a small price to pay! :)

Hello, lovely! Is Nina Dobrev still a banned FC? I've read through all the things regarding her that I could find, seeing once that she wasn't allowed on the RP due to her popularity/being overused, but how once she was accepted as the FC for a character because the applicant managed to prove how she worked -- is that still applicable? Thank you in advance, and I'm sorry to bother you!

It depends a lot on which character you’re looking to use her for! I’d be able to give a much more specific answer with a particular role in mind, because I definitely don’t want the love of the faceclaim to override the love of the character themselves. As of now, I believe there are only two non-POCs with flexible faceclaims, so depending on who you’re interested in, she may or may not work.

As for more information pertaining to the exploration week: it’s been determined that the easiest way to keep track of all the threads and characters that a player might take on is for each player to create a new sideblog. Since this sideblog will be in use for all future exploration events, I would recommend choosing a generic url such as “jasperexplore”. Once you have created your account, please message the main so that a mass followlist can be released as soon as possible. 

Things have been a bit slow in starting as everyone figures things out, but all plotting should wrap up by the end of the weekend, so that threads can get moving. If you’re planning on a group interaction (which can either be on the dash, chatzy, or any other venue), an easy way to collaborate is either through the OOC blog or skype. Once the sideblogs have been created, starters can be posted whenever you’re ready! If you have any questions, feel free to ask via private message or the OOC blog — as for now, I can’t wait to see what you all bring to the table!

Also crying because I love them all, and I’m glad that you do too! Honestly I would be immensely happy to see any one of those four join us — Lila and Adriana are an incredible pair of ladies, Priscilla is huge fun, and Matteo is a role that we haven’t seen on the dash as of yet! If you’re super torn, I would write up a small sample starter for all four and see which one you have most muse for. In any case, I really hope to see you apply!

are you able to tell more about the 'seraph' and 'nephilim' titles? like what do they mean etc, or is it merely like lower ranks are seraphs, while higher ranks are nephilim?

In the ‘Connect Today’ sidebar, there’s a drop down tab that explains all main alliances! In short, the titles of ‘Seraph’ and ‘Nephilim’ are not so much spoken as felt. Seraphs support Katerina as Don, while the Nephilim believe that Alfonso was cheated out of his hierarchical right, and that he is far more capable in that seat.

As both the roleplay’s first writing task and a pastime as we wait for the main plot to progress, I’m excited to present the first of many Exploration Weeks! Allowing players and characters to delve into every circumstance imaginable and every world they could want, the goal of Exploration Weeks is to provide insight and opportunity for maximum writing potential. This week, (9/29-10/10), the theme will be the Past — meaning any storyline or situation that occurred prior to the start of Killer Angel’s plot, whether it be interaction with a now deceased character, a glimpse into a childhood or adolescence, etc. — can be roleplayed out on the dash. This will also double as an activity check. Below the read more are instructions and further explanation!

All players will be added to a new sideblog, where they will be able to post the request form (below) and fulfill the requests of other players, by liking ❤ the post and then following through by messaging the other player to plan out the plot/interaction. First come first serve, so make sure to quickly like a post if you wish to be part of the interaction!

Every player who requests an interaction should also take one on, so that no one is left out. 

All requests that are not filled within a day or so will be taken on by the admin, so that there will be no long waits. I will also be playing Luca Montenegro for any situations that require his presence. 

Multiple request forms can be posted and taken on, as long as you can manage them.

More information about the new sideblog will come via the OOC — for now, feel free to get a head start with filling out your request form(s)!

If Gloria is changed to Phoebe, could her age be altered?

Yes, it can. Depending on faceclaim choice, I believe that Gloria can be any age from 25-30. If you decide to apply (!!! I’m excited already), just leave a note for me in the ‘Other’ section about both the faceclaim and/or age change.

I would love to see all our Killer Angels taken, so Penelope and Piper are definitely very wanted — and of course, our gossip queen Gloria is still open (I having postponed my decision to take any new roles on) and much needed!

With the recent unfollows, will you need more than four roles taken before you will be able to proceed with the plot?

Ideally I’d love to see as many roles taken as possible, particularly the Killer Angels, who will be at the very center of the main upcoming plot. But I said what I said, and it would be unfair of me to change it. Once four more roles are taken, the plot will indeed go on, and hopefully even more new members will arrive around that time!
