Mikki felt a buzz from her phone in her pocket. It was Mikael. Since Mikayla
had explained Flame’s situation to him, he had gotten ten times more
suspiscious of her. And, surprise surprise, it showed.
Mika: Is she still there????
Mika: You should get her to leave if you want to live
Mika: I’m sure you’ll figure it out, you’re smart enough
She restrained the urge to smash her phone to pieces. Mikael could be a
real pain in the ass when he wanted to. It wasn’t really his fault, though… Mikki
spent at least 17 years of her life at his side. The shift in company hit both of
them hard, but at least Mikael was married to Thomas now. Mikayla, on the
other hand, loathed the idea of letting her guard down that much.
❝ — I hate my brother so much. You know that? I fucking hate him. I mean I love
him, sure, but he’s fucking awful. Don’t ever let me invite him round. ❞
A long, drawn out sigh indicated she didn't mean her recent statement quite like that. The demon hung her head and looked out the window. She could barely see a few birds flying away, her hands itched to kill them. But of course, they'd be long gone before she could even consider taking a stand.
Flame heard the other's phone go off as well, but tried her best to ignore it. She longed to have her sisters text her one day, asking how she's been, hopefully telling her about a better life. But it was just a dream, and it never was to be a reality. The demon was certain her godly family would look down at what she's become, and possibly fear her newer change.
