         the voice does not surprise her, just the volume. in a quiet place like this, to hear such delight in a person’s disposition. amy turns her head, moon-gray eyes crinkling into crescents upon her face, notable smile lifting, almost amused.     ❛    then we share the same tastes, hm?    ❜    delicate hands flip the book over in her grip, thumb smoothing across the lettering on the front - attentive care with a book such as this, well before its time.    ❛     i always find women authors so much more in-depth with their writing, don’t you?    ❜
