Never had she expected him to stop, Nirvana was gravely important to Songkarn. The fact that he paused at all was noteworthy, so she did her best–which, for all intents and purposes, was stupidly good–to play off her thoughts and wander about the room. It wouldn’t do either of them much good if she sat beside him and caused him to feel as if conversation needed to occur. However his comment, again, had caused a wider smile to spread across her lips as she strode over to the other side of the room, out of his sight enough that she shouldn’t be an issue.

“You seem to have picked up my habits. You may be far more dangerous than I thought, darling.” Though, with her teasing aside, “Perhaps my last for the evening, how fairs your beauty? No major hiccups?”

“If she feels like playing nice, I’ll consider it.”

So he says, but Nirvana was a delicate instrument. He took great pains to ensure that the rifle was always in top condition and shining as if only recently unboxed. That much was obvious in how he lovingly polished each individual piece until it was almost glaring in the light of the room. Thankfully, Songkarn was skilled in multi-tasking, so this little task coupled with chatting with Yencoril would hardly prove to be an issue.

“So long as no one has a paycheck with your name on it, you’ll be safe,” dismisses the mercenary, sparing the blonde glance punctuated with an arched brow. “Nirvana’s the type who won’t cooperate unless it’s me, so we’re spending a little quality time to keep it that way.”
