He’s drunk off of his ass and has been ambling through his day-to-day life in a perpetual stupor since vanishing from Kieran’s apartment months ago. It was the hardest goddamn thing that Micah has ever done, walking out the door with the knowledge that he would likely never return, but what other choice did he have? None, if he was to keep the other safe, at all. Because there’s a deadly secret that he’s been hiding, one that’s dangerously close to surfacing, a personal shame that he either has to share and pray for a bit of understanding or continue keeping the world at arms length in order to save both himself and everyone else the grief. To spare Kieran the sorrow of learning the truth about him. And while his reasoning for leaving was sound, it’s ultimately proven far too difficult for Micah to stay away, evident by the fact that he’s somehow managed to stumble his way to Kieran’s stoop where he’s sat for the passed hour, waiting for him to show. He needs to make amends, needs to explain why he left so abruptly without so much as a goodbye, needs to come clean about everything that he’s kept bottled up for so long; too much to say, yet he isn’t nearly in the right headspace to do so.

However, all of this falls to the wayside the moment that Micah lifts a weary gaze to see the young man approaching, a crooked smile arising at the mere sight of him. It will take him three tries at standing and he is left clinging to the railing as his world rights itself and the expected wave of nausea passes. And immediately, an arm outstretches towards Kieran, his fingers flexing impatiently as he grabs for him once he’s within reach. “H-Heeeey yooou!” he slurs happily. “S’been a while, huh? I-I missed you, babe...”
