Qoppa PDF studio on Linux
Today I'm going to write a quick first impression and review of a PDF editor software that is X-platform and works on Linux and the latter is the reason I'm making this quick review/first impression.
As you probably know there is not a lot of options for PDF editors on Linux at least not many that can rival Adobe or PDFelements I have downloaded Qoppa PDF studio from their website https://www.qoppa.com/pdfstudio/ I have only tried a few of the functions in this writing moment because I only needed to redact a few things on certain documents and tried the fill form function.
The fill-in form function is working like you expected it too, and it's really good, the redaction is a little tricky at least I cannot figure out how to do it. I need to redact some numbers that are reoccurring on my document, I can't find a way to search and batch redact, I can search the number and it gets highlighted. when I go to mark them all for redaction and redact all nothing happens. I have to physically go and mark each number with my cursor one at a time and then go and mark it for redaction and then redact it one at a time.
This is really time-consuming and not very user-friendly. (I can do this in master PDF editor) other than that the GUI is pretty and does not look outdated I actually really like it. off-course I don't think the version I have is not the pro version since I have not paid for it, but hopefully, I can get the pro version soon and I can make a more comprehensive video review for my YT channel. Conclusion of first impression and review, if you just need to do light PDF editing and filling in forms give this free version a try from the link above and see what you think!
