What Is Love

Maybe i like you , Maybe I care for you, but how do I know If I love you ? I don’t think I can define such thing at the moment …

Someone who loves another doesn’t smile at a stranger and feel their heartbeat start to race when they walk In the room.

They don’t smile for more than ten seconds at someone else and look them straight in the eyes without saying a word. Never wanting to leave the moment.

Someone who loves another doesn’t long for a new person to come around and start a new conversation.

I don’t have a definition for love, but the one thing I’m certain of is that you are neither one of these strangers.

So I searched for the words to untangle my thoughts but all I ever did was resemble my flaws. I tried and I tried but I just seem to fail. This life of mine now is simply a tale. Tonight

Oh how I wish you were able to hear my inside voice. To show you what words on a message can’t say. From the inside I wanted to scream how much I really missed you. I did but it wasn’t the same. Typing, the tears rolled down my face and I read everything you said. My comfort was found in knowing you would be okay.

There was so much I had to hold in tonight. Simply because worrying you wasn’t the best idea right now. I wanted to tell you . . . Tell you that my life has been a total mess ever since you left.

Lost

Have you ever been so lost that you’ve become scared of even taking one more step simply because the fear of failing is so overwhelming? …

Well I guess I’m there.

All my life I’ve dealt with things that have challenged the way I live and I guess Im kind of used to it by now…

The world around me doesn’t know how many times I’ve cried myself to sleep or how many times I wish I went to bed and never woke up. They will never know what it feels like to be so lost that your feelings and emotions begin to lose their identity. They will never know that side to me because I’ve built a wall around that part of my life where no one is allowed.

Instead, I spread love, a smile, I joke around, i make others realize how important they are. I do what no one cares to do just to see someone be happy. Maybe because I know deep down in my heart it’s the only thing that makes me feel better.

Where is home ?

Tonight I don't feel happy anymore. The place I called home has become a battle field. I find myself looking for things to do to try and spend the least time I can in there. I never thought I'd get to this point and I never thought it would shatter me this much. The truth is it has. All I want to do is run far away Far away from all I know Maybe then I could start over and forget of all the people who continuously refresh my memory of all the things I battle to forget. Maybe then I will make a home of my own. What would be the hardest thing? Being alone? I already am.

There comes a time in my life when I can see my favorite book coming to an end and slowly fading away. It will slowly vanish and its mark of existence will only leave behind its memories. There’s nothing wrong with that … and there’s nothing wrong with a new book.

Goodbye

It's always the hardest thing to do for me. I guess I get attached to quickly and love a little too much. I don't know when I'll ever get over this problem. It seems like just yesterday I was in summer training and crossing my fingers to make the women's soccer team in college. It's been one of the best experiences by far and now it's time to say goodbye. It has been the most successful year for this college and we managed to honor our coach by making history and giving her that second place. I've met some incredible people and made some unforgettable memories. Those I will keep with me forever. It seems like only four players will be coming back next season for sure. Some are not coming back and others are leaving to other parts of the world or moving on with their education. I'm happy for them but at the same time I wish they never had to leave. Next season will be completely different. There will be a significant difference with the recruits coming this following summer and all the people trying out. With one more week to go of school my heart is sad because I can't believe this season is over. In a few days I will have to say goodbye and who knows if I will ever see them again.

Distant Love

I will look for you through my memories I will hear your voice and take a quick glance at your eyes I will remember your laugh and cherish the warmth that it brings I will hold on to your scent before it vanishes away I will keep your smile and I'll hold on to every little smirk you own Perhaps I will consider the distance to be an adventure and my memories can comfort my every mourn - Kim S.
