hi can do a very short analysis for my favourite (i am gonna analysis ji as well because he is too funny)
Context: i love you i hate you game. First member (here is ks) is supposed to confess and say ‘I love you’ to second player (ji), and ji can say ily back or say I hate you, the point is to make the other laugh.
I was watching it and thought, okay everyone did the same thing nothing fishy BUT
so when ks said hate you instead of ily to ji, ji’s face was offended as fuck
his whole body leaned back a bit in a defensive position (offended af) and he pouted and wow look at this perfectly captured expression below
and when ji said ‘i.. i hate you too!!’ ji’s chin tilted upwards to speak
the jutting chin, and ofc, the ‘na, na do’ stutter shows ji’s act of defiance as if he is offended as fuck and is challenging ks (pay back time by saying i hate you back - so petty)
why is he scandalized as fk its a game chill but he was so hurt. ok sorry, the real analysis starts here
ks feels bad as he notices how offended ji is, and how he is actually hurt so he puts his hand on his arm as if to soothe him to comfort him.
and HERE at 0:20 second of the video, ks actually mouthed saranghae to ji which is shown by the movement of his lip and how he blinked and nodded as an affirmation of what he said.
To be honest, i think ks is genuinely concerned that he really might have hurt ji’s feelings. Actually LOL tho bc its just a game so theres no need to reassure ji by mouthing saranghae, infact during other members’ turn they were really snickeringly happy to hurt one another by saying ‘i hate you’ back. he couldn’ve gotten on with the game by saying saranghae out loud but he mouthed it just for ji as reassurance
(its not subbed proves he didnt say it outloud).
ji heard him but he looked away and still whined like a child (lmao).
After ks finally said saranghae out loud into the microphone,
then ji’s expression changed 360 degrees in 1 second, small smiles gentle gaze all that jazz after he said saranghae back (so extra)
after ji confessed back, there was a pregnant pause. *dramatic music* with ks’ hand STILL on ji’s arm, the never breaking gaze, and smile on both their faces. How smitten can they get
Ks’ emotions suddenly burst and he got super flustered and broke eye contact quickly. he became this cute embarrassed cringed little bean
real ks stans know his scrunchy smile happens when hes shy or embarrassed.
Before ks walked away he did the ‘huh huh huh’ laugh (the embarrassed laugh)
in fact ks got SO embarrassed and shy his ears got red. look at the before after.
He walked away with his shoulders hunched, probably thinking this is cringey but sweet
(and wow doesn’t that look familiar)
during festa the same thing happened when ji winked at ks.

but with the kaisoo, if you watch 0:27 seconds, ji genuinely scrunched face, high pitch laughed EVERYTIME ks hunched his shoulder due to embarrassment. (repeated it twice) (probably think ks is so cute embarrassed)
sidenote: in the nrepublic moment, ji stayed put and was seemingly proud after he said saranghae… he said it with confidence while ks got super embarrassed. During festa, ji laughed happily instead of shyly when ks was embarrassed, ji probs thought ks was super cute. mhm now we know who might be more expressive and attitudely dom in the relationship…. smirk
their emotions are so real. how can these raw emotions - red ears, scrunch face laughs, impulsive dives in for a hug, cringed shoulders just be ‘fanservice’
