Not only do I miss you when I’m sleepless like the song says.. but I miss you right after coffee and when I can’t sleep. I miss the way you smell and the way it felt to sleep cuddled right up next to your side. Do you miss me like I miss you? I was always tired but never of you. Getting off of work to see you outside and getting in the car and waiting to go but looking over to catch you staring at me. It’s hard for me to fall in love but it was you. The first love to start a life full of it. Like most people are age are. When I’m with my next love will I compare them to you? When I’m in their arms will it always be you? It will never be you. Enjoy your life and persue what it can be because even though you will laugh and love it won’t be with me. And that’s alright. It’s perfectly fine. For the person you stand across from and the ring that will never be mine. For the children you’ll have and the way you will raise them. I’m glad you’ll have your own life and love because we’ll both move on and someday when I see you again I can’t wait to see how happy you are in your life and the job you have and the money you’ll make.
