Eclipses often saw the gem checking her phone, scrolling through a changing list of contacts aimlessly until the sky was back in order, and this was no different. She couldn’t recall. (She would, once the grief faded. They’d called them Moirails.)
She’d be fine, though.

The boy was a genius with a mind for tinkering that rivaled her own, loved just as dearly as she’d once imagined a Diamond might love its gems. Peridot knew of human needs from Steven, from Iori, but having Varian meant learning to cook. Learning how laundry worked. How to keep a closer eye on health. He was an older child, she understood that much, but still a child. And he was hers. Theirs.
But he was gone.
And, still, she was fine.

long story short: i’m sick with some sort of vile cough. i don’t think i have covid-19, but i know that since i’m otherwise sick i’m at a higher risk to contract it and can put other people at risk. my job is not providing paid sick leave during this time, they are still penalizing absences despite the state ordering against it, and they are not abiding by the six-feet rule; the woman who works in my booth with me is severely immunocompromised and i could put her in extreme danger, and my company does not care about any of it.
i have to stay home for my safety and that of others; i will have april’s bills coming in; i have no food and cannot venture anywhere for food, not only because of social distancing reasons, but because i live at least four miles from the closest grocery store, and do not drive. i would like to be able to raise some money to make a decent order on instacart and also make sure i can handle upcoming expenses.

The “Steven Universe” saga appears to be coming to a conclusion.
The first of the final 10 episodes of the Cartoon Network original animated series will debut March 6 at 7 p.m., the cabler announced Thursday. The run will end March 27 with a four-part series finale.
Though the next batch of episodes is set to mark the end of “Steven Universe,” series creator Rebecca Sugar hinted in a statement that she is not done exploring the world of the show.
“I’m so excited for the final episodes of ‘Steven Universe Future’ to be out in the world, and so grateful to our audience for supporting our show for all these years. It has been an eye-opening experience to meet the community that has come together around the show: I have been so moved, and I have felt so seen,” said Sugar. “I have always been a firm believer in the power of cartoons, and these days it’s undeniable: the friendships forged over this show, the artists inspired to draw, the families that watched together and saw each other in these characters, fill me with awe and renew my love of animation every day. Though our epilogue series is coming to a close, please trust that like us, these characters will always be growing, changing, and supporting each other.
