how did you learn how to draw? and any tips for people who want to learn?
i get this question often and i’m never quite sure how to answer it, because i didn’t really learn it from anyone/anywhere? for me it wasn’t about how i “learned” to draw, but how i “allowed” myself to draw. for years i felt guilty drawing because it was something i did secretly instead of studying. this went on forever until around 2 years ago, when i finally gave myself the time to draw. so, to answer your question my tips would be-
don’t rush
when you’re drawing, you’re drawing. try and forget about everything else
give yourself some time
explore different styles (especially when you’re beginning. having an “artstyle” doesn’t make you cool)
look back at your progress from time to time and feel good about what you’re doing
I’ve gone ahead and made a #Pinktober prompt! 10 pink-centric color palettes, 10 drawings, spread across the month of October however you’d like. (u can also combine pinktober with another prompt list!)
he is simply vibing
A friend but now with blue background since the yellow version was bugging me 🖤

yes this is about samirah al abbas and what about it
- if they’re hijabi, they won’t have their hair showing
- obviously sometimes it slips, like if they’re not wearing an underpiece to hold it in place and it gets windy or something, but they’re not going to wear it with their hair showing
- same with their neck. please
- they’re wearing hijab? they’re wearing loose clothes now too
- they’re also going to wear full sleeved shirts and long pants
- general rule for shirt sleeves: four fingers of skin from the wrist up can show
- many hijabis also try to make sure their shirt is long enough to cover their butt, or they’re wearing really loose pants
- they’re not gonna wear anything form-fitting. please
this has been a psa from a disgruntled fan trying to find fanart that actually fits the rules of hijab
Kabedon but Shinsou actually follows through with the kiss
I once read a soulmate au fic where if you're close to your soulmate, you'll hear in your head the last song they listened to
Shinsou's living hell begins once he moves into the dorms. (On the other hand, Kaminari is probably getting to enjoy some Joji)

two essential skills for artists
“good enough” and “fuck it”
“good enough” is when you are working on something and are happy with most of it but can live with a few imperfections, useful when needing to move on from sketch to inking/coloring or what have you.
“fuck it” is when you absolutely hate what you’re doing every step of the way but you post it anyways, very useful during art blocks.
both are useful to help you move on and not obsess over making it perfect, because art is anything but perfect, even photo realistic artists probably see imperfections that someone else might not catch
these can also be applied to other things in life
