Why would I ever feel less like one?

Fun? Mostly I find fun in my job. It's fun to take the souls of desperate humans. I believe my favorite place around here has to be the terminal illness ward so far... so many desperate families who are willing to do anything to save a loved one. Though I don't think my hobbies are as appealing to someone who's not a crossroads demon.

  Well, it was hard not to hear about your little affair with Lilith. I also heard she went back to Lucifer. I bet that stings a bit, huh? Of course, it’s not like Lilith is much of anything, really.

 I came here simply for the sole fact my life was getting boring again. I wanted some fun, and it looks like I stumbled across it. Especially having the honor of talking with the Crossroad King, but I guess you’re not that much of a King anymore… at least I assume.

I'd rather not speak about the Queen if you don't mind, Eve.

And you came to this place for entertainment? Well I can't blame you. It's quite the party central. Never a dull moment. And just because the Queen has left me and I'm not on the royal family's list of favorites anymore does not mean I've lost my standing. There's no crossroads demon who surpasses me. Ever since I stopped caring about Hell seeing it go through troubles only cheers me up so, yes, I am quite excited about the winged bastards. More entertainment for me.

Honestly, I used to have so much order but now I've got employees trying be rebellious. Next thing you know they'll be going on strike.

I'm going to have to start firing people soon and finding some fresh meat.

Happiness. That is what I can promise you, Andrew Burns. You may not want any fame or riches but you do want happiness. Normality. An easy life where you have no worries. It's all you've ever dreamed of. I can make it so all your worries disappear. I can even bring you Esther back! We both know that your precious little heart always belonged to her. You're speaking to the best dealer there is, boy. Course, even if you are about to say yes to that I wouldn't bother. I know about your soul... I was informed a lot about your...condition.

Hyde may be done walking around in your skin but he's not quite gone, now is he? I've messed with your soul before, Moosey. It's wrong...it's tainted. From Hyde and Hell... you're hell bound no matter if you act like a saint for the rest of your life. What's the point of cashing in a damaged soul? There is none. Still... it is a bit boring just waiting for you to live out your life and die. You're less likely to kill yourself now, too. Hyde in your head is a lot easier than Hyde walking around.

Well you see, ten years ago a woman who couldn't have children sold her soul to me so that she could be fertile. Ten years later...she's had five children. Her contract recently ended, though, and of course you know what that means. After the hounds tore her to shreds the father killed himself out of greif, leaving the five children alone. I considered just leaving them as that but then I thought... why not give them a new mother? A better mother. So would you like the little orphans? After all, I don't think there is a better mother than you.
