Hi! So I'm new to the Kingdom Hearts series and I'm going to be getting a PS4 and 4 games plus the Kingdom Hearts series for a late Christmas present. I was wondering how you get the beginner mode since I've only watched playthroughs on YouTube and never played it myself so I thought doing it on beginner mode?

Generally, when you begin the game, you’ll be given the option to select the difficulty.  Beginner, Normal, Proud, Critical.  Just choose Beginner and you’re good to go.

Hi there! I don't have a Play Station and I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I really want to get into KH and will get a PS if I really have to. Right now I am satisfied with reading the manga, but I was wondering if it was any good. Would you recommend reading the manga or would that ruin it and should I just play the games instead? Thank you!

What a good question!

In general, I think of the manga as a “last resort” sort of thing.  The games have a huge talent for balancing fun excitement and emotional heartbreak.  The manga pokes a lot of fun at KH tropes and doesn’t quite hit that balance.  But the plot is there, as long as you take it with a grain of salt!

One big problem is: the manga only covers KH1, Chain of Memories, KH2, and 358/2 Days.  No Birth By Sleep (which is essential!), Re:Coded, Dream Drop Distance (also essential), or KH3 as of yet.  So even if you do some games with the manga, you’ll have to find another avenue to complete the series.

The easiest way to play all the games is on the PS4.  You can get ALL the games there now, which is great!  PS4 is also pretty cheap these days since the PS5 is on the horizon.  Maybe watching a Let’s Play online would be an option?  Find one without someone talking over it. >_<

The 358 manga is actually a VERY good substitute for the game!  In my opinion, it’s even better than the 358 movie that comes with the PS3/4 remakes.  Plus, the 358 game is a huge slog to get through.  I totally recommend this manga.

I hope this helps!  It’s a great series if you can get into it.  Hopefully the new KH3 DLC clears up a lot of the flaws of the newest game. >_<

They probably called them "booster" medals because trait medals say "BOOSTED" on them when you pull them. It is worth noting that "BOOSTED" on a non-trait medal gives it additional stats, but for some reason all trait medals say "BOOSTED" in pulls despite not being useful for anything but giving traits to the medal they match.

Boosted Medals means they get additional Strength.  Usually it’s +1000 but maybe it’s sometimes more than that now?  I’m not 100% sure.  But all the grey medals (trait medals) are boosted automatically, which is stupid and confusing.

What are the booster medals for? I just recently started the game and I got at least twenty of these “booster medals” of sora and cloud. The only difference from these medals were that they had no colour.

So there are two different concepts at play here.  Boosters are temporary buffs that apply to certain medal types until the end of the month.  Basically, they are a way for the game to “reward you” without actually rewarding you.

I’ve noticed in PVP in Union X it seems that people are like stacking? medals. I’m wondering how that is done.

If a medal has Extra Attack on it (which is a trait) then it will be used twice.  This kind of gives the illusion that one medal is on top of another medal?  It’s sort of confusing.  But Extra Attack is the way to win PVP!

That medal probably has the Extra Attack trait, which allows it to be used a second time at 40% power. It’s honestly the best trait in the game right now.

Hello!! I have a quick question on KHUx!! So I recently had to restart the entire game because my phone got messed up and I have apparently missed so much haha SO its the 7star medals that are giving me the most trouble. Like I have several in my storage, but they are all black and white and I can't use them... do I need to get to a certain level to be able to use them? Any advice would be great! I've been so lost and haven't found anything helpful online.

Those are called Trait Medals! They are an awful addition to the game. Basically, when combined with the medal depicted on the Trait Medal, they let you add/roll a trait. But if you don’t have the matching medal, they are completely useless. >_< They just take up space. But getting rid of them is inadvisable in case you get the appropriate medal someday.

With khux pvp, do u fight an actual person or just a bot with their setup?

Hm. Technically speaking, you are fighting a bot with their setup. They aren’t attacking you while you attack them. That would make PvP way more complicated.

Firstly, the Player always has first attack. The defender is always second. If it was real-time you would have to decide who goes first.

Secondly, real-time combat could take way longer if your opponent isn’t playing on Auto. Plus the connection between phones might lag and take longer to respond.

When you attack, you choose when to use your Supernova abilities. When you defend, your Supernova abilities are activated automatically on specific slots (specified in the Supernova description).

The true humor in the Yeetus Vanitas scene stems from how fucking fast he flies.

okay so bc it’s 1 AM i said screw it and decided to calculate the velocity because i can. 

since it’s late i decided to just eyeball the distance and the time it took for vanitas to travel from sully to the door. as you can see by this diagram:

i determined that it takes approx 0.5 seconds for vanitas to travel from sully to the door, which is about 3 yeetuses apart (1 yeetus is vaintas’ height). now assuming vanitas starts the yeet at an initial velocity of 0, we have everything we need to calculate his final velocity and constant acceleration.

using the kinematic equations i concluded that vanitas travels at a rate of 24 yeetus/s^2 with a final velocity of 12 yeetus/s. 

and since we officially know Sora’s height from the word of god (it’s 160 cm), and Sora and Vanitas have the same height, i determined:

vanitas final velocity @ door = 19.6 m/s = 43.8 mph = 70.6 kph

yeet acceleration = 38.4 m/s^2 = 85.9 mph/s = 138.2 kph/s

which is a pretty fast yeet.
