I think kowalski would think that its impressive how maurice ws able 2 overpower them when he got influenced by the nuts in that 1 episode where he became king, & i think theyd h8 eachother so much that maurice would genuinely try & succeed on putting spells on kowalski, which made kowalski finally h8 maurice the same way.

In this au, maurice is a nubian from the sudanese region, but was raised in egyptian nuba region.
Julien found maurice near the edge of the river nile, maurice ws in a basket, squirming and letitng out choked, weak cries like he was crying for hours. The sight of him made julien cry as well, which got the attention of his very panicked parents. Princess julienne took julien into her arms, and prince barty saw the weak baby in the basket, whispering prayers as he looks to the tohwr side of the river.
Julien only calmed down when he saw his dad hold maurice in the basket, reaching out for him, trying to wipe his tears. (He was patting his face.) At 1st, the prince & princess werent very convinced w the idea 2 raise a baby who their son found, but when they saw how much julien loved maurice they decided to give maurice to uncle kj, who always had this thought of raising a boy, but not a son. Everybody was confused by what he meant, but they just gave maurice to his care.
Maurice was raised in luxury like julien, and they were inseperable, prince barty taught maurice how to play the oud, while julien watched and clapped at every little thing maurice gets right, which caused maurice's motivation to keep learning. Uncle kj taught maurice how to play and use the tabla after julien's parents moved to sahel, which started maurice's crush on julien.
Everytime maurice would show him a piece that uncle kj taught him, julien would show what he learnt aswell in bellydancing lessons from rob. Maurice would get flustered and look away so he doesn't mess up the piece, but julien always wanted him to look, so he would get closer and closer, making maurice look at him. This would always happen, and maurice would get more embarrassed than the last time.
Whenever there were parties, youd always find maurice & julien in their own world, maurice with the tabla and julien wearing the clothes that were original pieces made by rob. (In this au rob is a clothing designer for dancers!)

theyd have nights where maurice wojld play the oud for julien bcz julien assosciates the instrument w his dad, who moved away to sahel so he can continue his career as an artist w his mom. These nights would always end with julien cuddling closer to maurice, whos face would flush red as he carefully strums the oud to hum the vocals of the songs he learnt.
They had their secret kisses, their secret affectionate moments, all private 2 them & only them.

I like to believe they were both popular in the kingdom for their music. their dynamic here is heavily based on baligh hamdi and warda, who fell inlove while working 2gether. prince barty created the music, and prince julienne is the one who sang over it, prince barty had the talent of making the music feel like its talking to you, like it had feelings, and princess julienne's strong voice gave more drama, she loved singing and put her all into it. they became the best music duo in (madagascar but in this au) aswan's music industry, and people would sell their properties 2 go 2 their concerts.

When they had julien, they started to feel like their life in the music industry got harder, people demanded more, and they needed to make more so they can support julien and give him the life of luxury, forgetting that theyre already a part of the royal family and literally have a brother as a king. Soon enough, their love 4 music started to die bit by bit, until uncle kj noticed and forced them 2 move 2 sahel, promising them that he'll give them money and take care of their son. He kept that promise, and thats why they decided to finally let go. Their love as a couple grew strong, & their love 4 music started 2 come back again, theyd have late nights where prince barty would play the oud as princess julienne sings, because a song is made with music and singing, without either 1 it wouldnt be a song. They complete eachother.
After visiting a couple times they realize that julien really wants 2 be a belly dancer, when they gave uncle kj a look, he looked at them w defeat, like he tried 2 make julien reconsider, but everybody knows how stubborn julien is! So they decided 2 support him through his journey.
