The God has become all the more curious, her ears peeking up at her confirmation. Another Drainfolk who made it to godhood! She is delighted nonetheless!
In that moment you see her mask flick to a joyous expression, in the blink of an eye almost. Her smile sweeter and the wood turning rosie where her cheeks would be. Her tail swishes, almost like wagging.
“Eloquent God!..Ellie, Drain! Ellie beautiful…strong. He lua pele i ka lani ʻeleʻele!” She hums in delight, her hand gently holding King’s face. Her hands are warm, like the sun kissed sand on the beach.
For her this is a very important and special moment. Back on her own island Drainfolk make up half the population. She takes care of all who are afraid and weak.
To see a SECOND Drainfolk make her way to godhood? It’s like watching a baby bird fly. She’s so very proud of the god she had never met, but that didn’t matter to her.
She then realizes King has NO IDEA who she is, recoiling in slight embarrassment.
“…s-sorry!” She peeps. Her face flicking to a shyer expression.
[King watches in mild fascination as the other god's face shifts and changes to delighted. King feels a warm smile pull on her lips, something softer and sweeter than normal. Her long pointed tail wags in tandem. Despite the differences, she still knew body language like the back of her hand, even without her divine abilities.]
[King leans into the small hands cradling her face. she can't remember the last time someone has cared for her so tenderly. The hands holding her face remind of older, much more wrinkly hands, scarred by use of farm tools over the years. Of two people who were not related to her by blood yet cared for her like she was their own. It reminded the sweet spoken god of the hot sand bordering an oasis. She set one of her own pairs of hands on top. King's hand were warm too, after all, it's in her blood. She radiated heat, like a warm fireplace or a hot drink on a cold body.]
King hums at her words. Hawaiian was not a language she was familiar with, but she understood it all the same. Volcano wasn't... exactly correct but people tended to only see the earth-born firestriders. She couldn't fault her. "Yes, Born deep in the Drain, where the pressure would kill most, closest ta the center o' the earth, where hot vents o' fire burst." King speaks smoothly, "Thank ya, your words are kind, partner."
King then blinks in surprise as the other god recoils. She supposed they do not know each other, but it didn't bother her a bit. "No need ta apologize. Ain't everyday ya meet a new god." King smiles at her with mirth. "It's a pleasure ta meet ya, miss. Mind tellin' a new friend ya name and godly domain?" She offers sweetly, Her hands halfway following the retreating pair.
